Skylar's POV
"Skylar there's a police officer he wants to talk to you" Jeff informed me in my room "if you don't wanna meet I can just tell him to fuck off"
A soft laugh escaped my mouth "No its ok I'll see him"
"I'll stay behind you" he said and I nodded agreeing like always, his grip tightened on his gun like always, situations makes you like this....like defending type
"Good morning officer" I said as we walked to the living room, the officer stood straight in his uniform
"Good morning Mrs. Walker" he nodded and shook hands with me, I gladly accepted it and he proceeded "Mam I'm here to give you this" he handed me an white envelope with a little shade of cream "when we were investigating Mr. Justin's house we got this but its addressed to you" he looked at the envelope in my hand but I continued examining it 'To Skylar' was written on it in bold letters "our senior officers wanted to open this in case it holds any evidence but when we saw it's addressed to you we didn't, we're not allowed to touch or investigate such things" he nodded "but mam If it holds any information related to the case we want you to inform us"
"Of course officer" I smiled and nodded
"Thank you Mrs. Walker"
"Thank you Officer it means a lot to me" I said
He left and after he was totally gone from the penthouse, Jeff also left me alone with the envelope in my hand. I want to tear it off and see what's in it but something is stopping me, I know it may hold a piece of information but no I won't open it I'll see it on Justin's funeral or later.
I hope everything goes well till then, we're going to have his funeral but after the case is solved, not now, the Police department buried his body even his family's and I was not allowed to attend it as I'm the eye witness and Katie still doesn't know. I know Zach hated him but he made sure Justin's body and soul is rested as they bury him. He didn't show but I know deep down he's sad maybe a little and Katie asked me if I gave her drawing to him I said yes and I also lied that he loves her and her drawings, he misses her and he'll come back soon, he's just busy.
It hurts because she's waiting for him, she's waiting for her daddy while he's not going to come I gulped the lump in my throat and safely kept the envelope in my drawer.
"Sky" Zach kissed me on my head "What's that ?" He smiled at me
"Nothing an officer handed me this, Justin addressed it to me" I looked at his face
"Okay I have to leave now I'm already late"
"Wait" I fixed up his crooked tie and soothed few wrinkles from his suit jacket "perfect" I smiled and he returned it back
"I don't wanna go" he hugged me and placed his hand behind my head and caressed it softly "but I have to" he pulled away a little "Bye" he leaned in and kissed me softly
"Take care I'll see you at lunch"
"Yeah and you take care of your ass" he whispered in my ear "Last night was rough" he kissed my neck just beneath my earlobe
"I hate you"
"As much as I remember you were happy moaning my name last night" he teased me and my cheeks blushed red within seconds "Aww my wife is blushing" he kissed my cheek
"Mommy" I heard Katie, I kind of pushed Zach away but he pulled me closer and hugged me tightly
ughhh wasn't he getting late ?
"Zach" I pushed him
"Katie mommy is here with daddy" Zach shouted and pulled away laughing
"Good Morning mommy and Dad"
