Rebecca's POV
"Dad" I walked into my dad's office and took a seat in front of him beside me Brandon was sitting. He rolled his eyes as soon as he saw me I ignored his glare and my eyes went to some files that are scattered on the table, I know I have interrupted something very important but I don't give two fucks about their work.
What can be more important than me to my father ?
It has always been me
"Yes Reb" He motioned Brandon to keep the file away and took a swig from his cigar
"I should leave actually" Brandon said and shifted on his seat.
"Shut up and stay tight on your seat" I sighed "Zach got into an accident I guess Sky..." I cleared my throat, I hate that bitch her name sounds sour on my tongue "Brandon's daughter called me. She thinks that I am behind his accident, why would I want that for a sec--" I said but was again interrupted by Brandon's snort
"Sorry" he said "continue" he waved his hand in the air telling me to continue
"What's so funny ?"
"Nothing you continue"
"No" I stood up from my place "Dad you won't say anything ?"
"You both" Dad rubbed his forehead and took another swig and blew the smoke out "look I don't care what the hell you are doing with Richy's and Kenneth's family I'm going to stay out of it just don't go over a certain level and if you both think that I'm unaware about the threats going on, I'm not, I want to stop you guys especially you" he pointed at me "but I can't...my hands are tied to an oath" he eyed Brandon and clenched his jaw
"What oath ?"
"None of your business" he murmured, he left his office I know his skin crawls when he sees me and Brandon in the same room, for him leaving is that best option
"Was it you behind Zach's accident ?" I shouted I wish I can wrap my hands around his neck and choke him to death but I'm helpless as always I wish I was grown a bit bolder than I think I am. Mafia family holds so much power in their fists but I'm totally helpless and useless.
"Who were you assuming was ?" Brandon rolled his eyes "Ofcourse it was me"
"I told you to give a threat by damaging his car's exterior and what the fuck you did" I shouted again at my loudest
"Chill he's alive for you"
"He could have died"
"I just kind of failed the breaks of his Maserati and I know that he's a sensible guy he won't run into another car, his smart ass managed to take the car away from city and finally crash it over a tree" he smiled "and Maserati have great safety measures, I knew he will survive" he grinned "you don't always have to burn sometimes a spark of fire is enough and threats are bullshit for long you were gonna just threaten them. You think Zach isn't as powerful as us"
"You don't fear your daughter ?" I gritted my teeth "just imagine what her reaction after she comes to know her darling non biological father is causing her all the trouble"
"You boil my blood sometimes" He towered me with his tall structure "just do what I say if you wish to get what you want"
"I only want Zach"
"You'll get him, now fuck off little girl"
Skylar's POV
"Ughh my head is aching" He complained and pouted at me I smiled and shook my head the nurse just changed his bandages and he's being grumpy because he was feeling pain he's such a child
"Mr. Walker steady your hand" the nurse requested, he did but let out a 'owww' sound in pain few moments later when the nurse was done with bandaging she left us alone.
"I missed you Zach" I whispered and he smiled at me his face is less swollen than yesterday but his eyes and nose is still a shade of purple and his hand seems to be okay for now the swelling has increased but doctor says it's ok to have it they'll check his hand in every 12 hours and notice the changes.
In the morning I woke with my phone ringing on the nightstand I didn't even realize when I fell asleep I just slept maybe because I took too much stress. Jeff informed me that Zach woke up but still showed signs of sleep and acted like he's on drugs, by the time I reached he was okay and the nurse fed him the oats which he hates with his whole heart "You were asleep for so long"
"You were in my dreams"
"Zach"
"Skylar" he grinned, I smiled and placed a soft kiss on his swollen lips, I was gentle because if I pressed too much the muscle may get numb and start bleeding.
"I'm so happy that you're fine" I ran my hand through his hairs, then kissed his head while my fingers were still wrapped around his strands "I got so scared I almost thought I lost you" I hugged him closely he wrapped his arms around me and buried his head into my chest "Zach"
"Hmmm" he hummed lightly
"I think we should leak Rebecca's video in the media"
"Skylar we have discussed this earlier and I highly object that, we're not her she can do whatever she wants we will do our work in silence"
"But she's off limits everything was fine because no one was physically harmed but look at you now" I cupped his jaw "your whole face is damaged, your arm could have been fractured god knows if other bones too, what if something serious could have happened Zach, I only have you I can't risk your life again"
"But baby I'm totally fine, nothing happened they're just bruises they'll go away"
"You're not understanding"
"I am but I'm just trying to ignore" he sighed and rested his body back on the bed "how's Katie ?"
"You're asking me this for the fourth time" I rolled my eyes
"I don't trust her with Justin, he still boils my blood" he groaned
"Zach he's also her father don't worry and we have Ciara, Anna, Brittney and everyone there and not to forget Ramirez" I sighed.
In the morning Katie requested to go to Justin's house but I refused it due to certain reasons I can't leave her there alone without no security and even if I send a bodyguard along, Justin's parents are just naive. Later she started crying and was stomping everywhere so I called Justin and Ciara at my house to solve my problem, they instanly agreed to babysit her and Katie was really happy to see Justin again because he haven't been around her much and she loves him as much as she loves Zach or me and I guess we don't have any right to keep Justin away and we promised him that he's allowed to come whenever he wants "I think you should sleep for few hours, you need to rest"
"I don't want to" he pouted like Katie and I smiled "You know Sky you're the moon for me I need you to shine bright without you I'm nothing"
"Thank you Mr. Philosopher" My smile widened
