Skylar's POV ( a week later)
"Good morning hubby" I ruffled his hairs "Wake up" he shook his head and buried his face in my chest "atleast leave me or mom will think we died in here"
"Uhh" he groaned and unwrapped his arms "Why are we even here we could have stayed in a hotel ?" he ran his hand through his messy hairs. After our wedding we went back to our work but we're back in LA because our magazine has completed its 10 years and as Walkers we need to be there.
"Babe mom would have felt bad" I ran my thumb on his stubble "let me go" I climbed off my bed "I am going to take a shower and meet you downstairs....please check on Katie and no shouting, screaming and dancing" I rolled my eyes. These two only shout, yell or dance everyday the best thing is they're getting along really good Zach takes her to the park every evening, they draw, they watch movies together and Katie plays that restaurant game with him like she owns a restaurant and Anna is the waitress, Zach and Brittany are customers. It's good she's opening up with strangers.
After taking a small hot shower and changing into my clothes I went downstairs in the kitchen, male population is not here yet "Good morning mom"
"Good morning honey" she placed some fried eggs on the plates "how was your flight and night ? I was not able to ask earlier"
"Ya the flight was good and you know we came from our jet" I raised my eyebrows "It's ok umm....We'll leave in the afternoon Kenneth needs us in the hall"
"Oh yeah" she gulped and started cleaning the counter top without making an eye contact with me she seems disturbed. Why is acting like this ? "We'll be there before time" she said
"Good morning mommy" Katie wrapped her arms around my legs she's getting taller she's going to be 4 in few months, I can't believe that. Kids grow up faster than you think
"Good morning Sweetie" I picked her up and she straddled her legs around my waist.
The males are discussing something outside, I wonder what.."you slept well?" I asked her she nodded and leaned in a little to pick up a butter toast mom made for her "mom what's going on ? why are you all ignoring me ?" I shook my head
"We're not ignoring you" she said still not making an eye contact. I'm feeling weird, I left the kitchen and sat on the dinning table placing Katie beside me after few minutes mom and everyone joined us but everyone was quiet only Katie was talking to Kayden or me few times, even Zach didn't talked to me he just kept eating his breakfast though he was sitting beside me but his mind was so far away from me, he was close and yet far so far. After breakfast everyone disappeared in their rooms and we went in ours
Zach's POV
"Zach are you hiding something from me ?" She asked and locked our room "Because I feel like there's something I should know" she rested her hands her my hips
"No" I shook my head "no babe I'm not hiding anything it's just business talks and work load" I tried to explain her, there's a reason why we're here party is something else but something more important has come up.
"What about Kayden? I know you must have discussed everything with Richy and Brian but Kay is not at all involved in business" she said in an angry tone, she knows something is not right
"He just joined us" I shrugged I am really sorry darling I have to hide few things just to protect us "I know Sky you're feeling weird but it's ok I am with you you're with me and that's what's important" I cupped her cheek and kissed her forehead "our dresses are back in the hall we're hosting and dad texted me he needs you before me I still have to discuss something with Richy" I pecked her lips
