Skylar's POV
"Good morning" I said to my mom and let out a yawn. I am still sleepy. We left the party around 4 and then went to grab ice cream and snacks from the convenience storeand it was really fun, dancing, karaoke, eating competition. Cloe looked interested in me we were dancing together and he made me laugh my heart out, he even walked me out even though I was going with Kayden. The eating competition was between few of us only I did try but I didn't eat much we ordered a lot of chicken nuggets and the competition was to see who eats 50 nuggets under 5 minutes. I actually gave up at 20 nuggets because I was getting overwhelmed while most of them continued, Blake was the winner he did it in 3 minutes he was literally stuffing his mouth I most thought he'll choke. And during Karaoke I and the girls tried singing few songs but I know we failed hilariously. That's how it all went.
"Almost Afternoon" Mom glared at me "where were you all night ?" She asked me "You and Kayden were out the whole night you think I wouldn't know" She folded her arms
"Sorry mom" I sat on the dinning table and in few minutes the worker brought me some waffles with maple syrup. We still have an hour for lunch
"Look Skylar, I don't want to scold you but you know Kayden he's a bit spoiled and I know you guys have a great bond but I don't want you to be as spoiled as him and don't forget you're a mom"
"I'm sorry I didn't even wanted to go but mom I'm just 20 I have been so involved in adult life since I was 15 that I forgot I am young and I have the right to enjoy. I just wanted to live without worrying about anything and you know I would've never left Katie alone but I knew she'll be safe that's why I did what I did. I won't repeat it again" I said and my expressions went low
"It's ok" My mom walked towards me and gave me a hug "I know you're responsible but I get worried because I have spoiled my life I don't want you to do the same"
"We're not the same" I whispered she ruffled my hair a bit and left me. Now that I think about her sentence I wonder why she thinks that I will spoil my life is it because, Justin left as my dad did but there's a difference my mom left me first and I can never leave Katie and I'm responsible and I know my duties as a parent while as much as I remember my mom was not as mature as me as a parent.
"Mommy" I heard Katie's voice from afar "Mommy look papo is doing" Katie ran towards me and tugged my shirt "come" she holded my finger and started pulling me.
"I'll become a better mom than you can ever even think of being mom" I murmured to myself "yes let's go" I turned around and walked away with my baby "what is your papo doing ?" I asked her.
"He doing green...house" she smiled and giggled I smiled back and picked her up, doesn't matter how much I am angry or sad she dissolves it "I love plants"
"I love you" I kissed on her cheek
"I love you too mommy" she kissed me on the cheek "Papo" she climbed off me and grabbed some small plant and gave it to Richy "I want to plant it" she smiled
"Ok little girl" he helped her to plant that with a garden shovel and handed her a water sprinkler I sat on a small garden chair while watching them.
"Hey" Kayden sat beside me and watched them "so you enjoyed last night drinks, dance and games ?"
"Yeah it was fun but got a lecture from mom" I sighed
"You know Coel is interested in you" he elbowed me
"You know Mia is interested in you" I rolled my eyes
"He wants to ask you out"
"Say no to him, I'm not dating anyone not now I'm not ready to do that shit again"
"Sisa you can't be single forever just thinking about Justin you have to move on think about Katie she needs a father figure,I know you're enough but...she needs a father and that asshole is not coming back"
"I know I still need time I haven't dated anyone in last few years. I hardly remember what we even do on dates" I shrugged
"Then try it"
"Okay but not with Coel I'll find someone" I rolled my eyes again. I stood up and sat beside Katie on the ground my clothes are little dirty, I am making them more dirty.
"Whater,whater,whater" she sang I smiled at her mispronunciation of word water "mommy" she sat in my lap "look planty love Whater" I nodded she showed me her small palms they're covered in dirt.
"Yeah and you need a bath" I stood up and took her to our bathroom her clothes are full of mud.

"It is tuna" Mom smirked
"But it's full of bones, Katie can't eat it"
"She can you have to teach her"
"Look she's 3, a 3 year old can't eat a fish with bones you must know that. Marie just separate bones from Katie's bowl she can't eat it"
"Yes mam" she nodded "I knew it" she murmured I know she has few senses she also knows that everyone knows that
"Why are you even cooking tuna as whole make a salad or pasta or sandwich" I folded my arms
"Stop arguing it's Mediterranean style"
"It's not, it's stupid" I murmured
"Ladies" Richy entered the kitchen with Kayden, I miss Brian he's working the whole day and comes back late
"Yes darling" mom pecked his lips
"We're going for a dinner with Walker tomorrow"
"Oh really that's great"
"Yeah he's a really important person and a good friend of mine he's coming back from Spain after a long time. I want him to meet Sky he will love to meet you"
"Me? Okay No problem but what about Katie ?"
"For now sorry We can't take Katie I want her to come but we can't take her"
"it's ok no problem I understand"
"It's going to be big" Kayden stuffed some strawberries in his mouth "who cooks tuna as whole ?" he cringed and looked away. I pressed my lips together trying not to laugh
