-~-Telephones rang endlessly, the sounds of the ringing floating around the air of the office like a speck of dust.
Many people worked tirelessly at their stations, filling out paper work and answering calls from desperate callers. Others scurried back and forth up and down the narrow halls of the police station.
Their beautiful gold badges gleamed in the dull shining of the lights hanging from the ceilings over head.
Each individual person had a fierce look of concentration painted on their faces.
After all, they're jobs were extremely important.
The officers and detective's who showed up for work every morning there earned they're place. They were well known over the city of Tokyo. After all, they worked in the best station there is.
So when they're top responding officer, Iwaizumi Hajime, got a call about a homicide no one was surprised.
The spikey haired officer gathered a group of him most trusted partners - which consisted of Detective Kuroo Tetsuro and Officer Sakusa Kiyoomi- and they all collectively made their way to the location.
It took a while to react, but the men where determined to reach their destination in the shortest amount of time possible.
The three men roped off the area, making sure no bystanders would be able to interfere with their work.
However, when Iwaizumi laid eyes on the unfortunate victim, he seemed oddly familiar.
Even with blood drizzling from the gaping hole on his forehead -where the bullet had evidently gone through- , covering the victims head and face in blood, there was no mistaking the beautiful chestnut hair.
The sharp jawline, and the small nose.
There was no mistaking who this was.
And it broke Iwaizumi when it dawned on him.
This was his fiancé, Oikawa Tooru.
Iwaizumi slowly made his way towards the still body of Oikawa, flopping himself in the puddle of blood beside his head.
It didn't matter to him that he was ruining his trousers, all that mattered was saying his last goodbye, even if the other wouldn't be able to hear it.He carefully manoeuvred Oikawa's head, to where it rested on his lap.
He stroked his late lovers head softly.
His eyes were screwed shut, not wishing to look down at his fiancée. In all honesty, he was afraid. He was afraid that he would completely break the moment he saw the hole which continued to spill blood.
But he couldn't avoid it forever.
So he looked down.
Bad decision.
He was immediately sick to his stomach. He could see his own leg through the hole in his lovers head.
It made his stomach turn, but he couldn't take his eyes from the hole.
The longer he stared, the better the situation truly sunk in.
And finally, he broke.
Tears ran down his cheek, dripping onto the pavement beneath him. And his shoulders shook from his silent sobs.
Iwaizumi was truly broken.
He had lost the person he loved above any one else. The person who he had expected to come home that evening. The man whom he was supposed to marry in two weeks time.
He had lost the love of his life.
And there was no getting him back.He was gone, and there was nothing Iwaizumi could do about it.
Nothing he could do except break down on the pavement with his lovers unmoving head in his lap, a group of people watching from a mere ten feet away.
Iwaizumi's heart shattered.
Shattered into a million different pieces.
And he's not sure he would ever be able to pick up the pieces.
( A/N: This is shit, and I'm not very proud of it, but whatever.)
