Recap:

"You do not mind our presence do you Sumire?" Kyoya asked releasing her and fizing a stray lock of her hair away from her face.

"It's okay, but well, if I remember correctly there's only one room left available, we're fully booked."

"WHAT!"

"I'm so sorry boys, but dear Sumire is right. I'd love to have all of you as guests but there's only one vacant room left," Misuzu peeked out of a doorway carrying a fresh bundle of newly laundered sheets.

Tamaki stood up pointing at himself, "Well that settles it, I must stay here to represent the club."

"Hey that isn't fair!" Honey teared up hugging his bunny, "Sumi-chan I wanna stay too!"

Hikaru and Kaoru swayed in the background mocking Tamaki, "Have you no feeling of loyalty? Of any solidarity?"

"Togetherness is our guiding principle."

"My own words thrown back at my face," Tamaki crumbled to the ground.

"Aw don't cry," Sumire cooed patting Honey on the head, "I have one of the big rooms you can stay with me if you like."

"Absolutely not,"  Kyoya replied almost instantly all heads turning to him, clearing his throat he stood straighter, "It would be inappropriate to share a bed with a man."

"It's okay Sumi-chan, I don't want Takashi to feel lonely," Honey smiled eyes glinting in amusement.

"Well, the offer's still up if anyone want'ss to," Sumire thought out loud leaning back in her chair.

The twins looked  like they wanted to but the sheer force of Kyoya beside Sumire stopped them from doing so.

"Here's an idea," Hikaru put an arm around his brother, twin telepathy in action, "We bet you'll like it, why not hold a little competition?"

Kaoru grinned, "We'll call it... "The Guest Relation's Odd Jobs as Pension Misuzu!"

Fully resurrected Tamaki floated over interested.

"It's very simple, we just lend a hand around the place in the afternoon," Hikaru narrated with a flourish passing it to Kaoru, "And whoever makes the best impression on Misuzu-chi will get to sleep in the guest vacant room."

"That's brilliant! I think it's an absolutely delightful idea!" Misuzu swooned at the idea, "Yes, the winner of the contest will be determined by how refreshing they are! Remember, 'Refreshing' is the name of the game in guest relations!"

Haruhi looked utterly defeated at the turn of events, slinking back to work, "Sounds like a blast."

"Can't be that bad, that means less work for you as well right?" Sumire tried to comfort Haruhi, "We still have the rest of summer vacation it'll be fine!

Sumire relaxed in one of the chairs outside with a cool glass of lemon iced tea. She had lost track of how many she's had but it was hot and hey, she could afford it.

Taking a deep breath Sumire watched Tamaki try to fix a fence unsuccessfully and Honey trying to earn points by being cute, also failing. The twins fared better, escorting and flirting with the guests earning them some good points.

Mori was chopping some wood, Sumire enjoying the view. Turning to the ever busy machine beside her Sumire poked his shoulder, "Are you not going to join?"

"Of course not. As much as I would like to stay and spend time with-" Kyoya paused taking a moment to stop typing and face Sumire, "here, it frankly does not appeal to me. I'll just sit back and watch things unfold, then head to the cottage.
