Halloween fluff filler in the middle of June??? After not updating for so long???
Hehe sorry. But what can I say, life gets in the way.
Finale Chapter up next because I really wanna wrap this up and move on. Original book for my next work perhaps?
"I really think Soga-kun was trying to tell you something," Sumire mused out, leading the way as the two walked down the hallway and up the stairs with their arms linked together.
Haruhi shook her head, thinking back to when the motion for the Test of Courage was being discussed in the class for preparation for the Halloween event at Ouran, because of course they had one, "Nope, I don't see it."
"Well I'm sure it'll all be fine, besides we get to escape the Host Club for a week to prepare for the event!"
"You sound like you don't wanna spend time in the Host Club, Kyoya-kun becoming too much?"
Sumire waved a hand, "Don't be silly of course not, since all turned back to normal my guest requests skyrocketed and people keep bringing me gifts. I know they mean well but I can barely take any of them home now, aside from the chocolates, not sure why everyone started bringing me chocolates from Switzerland but I'm not going to deny those.
Haruhi had a hunch, but decided not to say anything.
Approaching the grand doors of the music room the two entered with the Host Club wearing costumes.
"What's all this? I thought we were closed today?" Sumire asked putting down her bag and circling Kyoya looking him up and down in his , "Not that I'm complaining."
"We are having rehearsals for the Halloween costumes, although the first years are having their own event, Haruhi, Hikaru, Kaoru and you will be excused for now" Kyoya replied, pushing up his glasses, "Although your designated costumes are already being made as we speak."
"Ooh, do we all get to be vampires?"
"Indeed, unless you would prefer something else?"
"No that's okay, vampires are pretty cool," Sumire hummed putting her bag down and flopping on the sofa, "Anything I can do to help?"
Kyoya smirked the smallest smile, walking over to Sumire that sat up properly, "Yes actually, since your events has derailed your duties onto me I have taken the liberty to make creative decisions with the decorations. Please feel free see to it as you like."
Sumire narrowed her eyes at the spreadsheets and multiple tabs opened at the screen, "Ouran...Festival? What's this?"
"Just the best festival of the school!" Honey cheered climbing up beside Sumire, "We have it every year and we get to dress up and there's a parade and a party-"
"Well, that's a lot. This school has so much parties. Alright then off all of you go," Sumire chided shooing Honey to Mori, "You too Kyoya, your cape looks a little too big."
Sumire roamed the halls using the moonlight streaming through the tall glass windows. After losing Haruhi and the twins in a scare in the staircases Sumire gave up and decided to wander around waiting for the time to run out.
Grumbling to herself Sumire took off her shoes, heeled pumps as it matched the vampire look she had going on. Her silver hair was straightened with a waterfall braid decorating the back pinned up with blue rose hairpins, and an elegant red and black lace gothic dress that fell just above her knees. Although her shoes looked the part it was two inches too high to walk for a long time in.
Thankfully for her the halls were so spotless it looked like you can eat off of it.
Getting to the end of the hallway one of the staff stock rooms looked open, taking a quick glance around Sumire peeked inside.
Even the storage room looked like it can be a bedroom with it's size, metal shelves with boxes stacked neatly on top of one another, a full window and small table on the side with a familiar vampire typing away.
Crouching down and taking small steps Sumire pounced putting her hands over Kyoya's shoulders, "Boo!"
Startled, Kyoya spun around instinctively swiping a fist towards Sumire who dodged it by jumping back.
"Oh, I apologize. I thought it was Tamaki," Kyoya mumbled, "Shouldn't you be with your class?"
Sumire shrugged grabbing a spare chair and pushing it towards the table, moving Kyoya to one side, "I lost my group, so I decided to ditch. What are you doing in here?"
"Just some extra work Tamaki brought in by buying a fountain sized chocolate fountain. We wont be having complementary cupcakes for the guests for about a week."
Humming, Sumire watched Kyoya with interest. Even though his tone held disapproval he never hesitated to go with whatever lunacy Tamaki did, always finding a way to work it out.
"You're a good friend."
Kyoya chuckled but gave a genuine nod, "Thank you. That means a lot."
Sumire leaned back in her chair and watched Kyoya type away, the moonlight streaming through the window illuminating his concentrating face. The occasional eyebrow twitch when something not so favorable appears in his numbers.
"Sumire, do you remember the numbe-" Kyoya stopped in his tracks as he looked over to Sumire who had dozed off, slightly swaying in her seat as she snoozed. Chuckling to himself he closed his laptop and moved his chair flush next to Sumire's.
Slowly tipping Sumire's head to the side to lay down on his shoulder he stared at the woman beside him. His eyes shone as he looked at her like she was the only person in the world.
The rest of the Host Club can take care of themselves for tonight. Right now, he just wanted to spend some time alone with Sumire.
