Chapter 12: Stay With Me!

   I was sprawled on the little couch they put in Ally's room there for me to rest on.  It had been a week since I had settled there in her room, it had also been a week that Ally had not appeared to me as a punishment, she wanted to martyr me and I knew it, I talked seriously with Dr. Darren Criss and he ordered me to organize all with Nurse Lea who had beautiful Latin features, black eyes as well as her long, wavy hair, white skin, full lips and body with few curves well dressed by white clothes and a friendly and wide smile.  Lea and I became very good friends this week, sometimes she would call me to eat something outside the hospital and for those seven days, I just agreed to leave there yesterday to have dinner with Lea and talk a little about my relationship with Ally and she would tell me about her late fiance Corey, I remember her words still echoing in my head, the sad story of Corey and Lea.

  "Me and Corey were together for 4 years, we met here at the hospital, he was hospitalized because of a fall he suffered after using drugs. Corey was an extremely handsome boy, black eyes, short brown hair, white skin and clothes always so simple, he was tall and so fun.I got into his case and we ended up getting close, falling in love, dating and living together for three years until at an actor awards he called me on stage and asked me to marry him. But months later he overdosed due to the drugs he used secretly and because of the pressure of work. I tried to save him but it was too late.... Too late...." the scene of Lea crying in my arms made me feel more human and friend ... Lea was amazing.

  I got up from the couch and went to Ally's bed seeing her in a deep unconscious sleep, I kissed her forehead and walked to Lea's room and saw her eating a salad and her eyes unfocused.

- Leah?

  She looked at me and smiled broadly.

- Lauren, come in honey.

I walked into the living room and walked to my new friend's side who served me a cappuccino and continued eating her salad.

-I didn't want to disturb her lunch.

- Don't be silly Lau, I have free time today.  I checked Ally's vitals while you slept and saw some patients on the other floor.  But she tells me, what brings you here?

- I'm not friends with anyone in here besides you.

- Doctor Criss is a nice guy.

- And precocious.

- Precocious?

- Yeah, for a 28-year-old man, he acts like he's 40 years old, has five kids and a wife.  But in reality it shouldn't be that right.

- No. Darren has a girlfriend-fiancée, they plan to have children but not now, only two years from now.

- You know too much.

- As I said, Darren is a nice guy, we've talked a lot.

- I see... Are you free tonight?

- Want to repeat dinner?

- If it's not bothersome.

- I think Allyson will be jealous of me.

Lea joked and I laughed along with her, drinking my coffee while she finished her salad.

- No of course not.

- So I accept yes.  See you around 7:30 pm?

- Yes Yes.

We exchanged one last smile before I finished my coffee and left her room.  I went back to Ally's room and saw Brandon sitting in the chair next to his younger sister.
