P.O.V Ally

I rocked on my heels for a few seconds as I watched the view of Miami so sunny it made my soul burn, I waited for Lauren to come out of the shower and saw her face me wrapped in a white towel with her initials embroidered on it in golden thread that stood out near the right chest, she was beautiful and with the tired expression still, the same expression of yesterday afternoon when we arrived from the Cabellos' house.  That curmudgeonly old woman had drained all of Lauren's patience and spirits without the slightest consideration or pity, of course Lauren was the kind of woman who didn't need pity or anything.  I went back to looking at the cityscape as she dressed behind me, or I heard her mumbling a few times and slamming doors and drawers shut.

- Ally?

I turned around and saw her wearing a superman shirt and black jeans.

- Yes?

- I'm sorry for being boring since yesterday

-No need to apologize Lauren, I understand her reasons.  Do you know what you should do?

- Go back there and rip that old woman's head...

She whispered eerily and then opened a smile that relieved me.

- No, you should play.

- I'm in a state where I would pick up the guitar and attack the wall.

- No, I won't let you.

- Fine.

- Go for me, you need to play a little.

- All right, you won!

She walked over to the guitar leaning against the side of the little table where she stopped for a few seconds and smiled broadly as she stared at my photo and Camila.  She composed herself and sat on the bed resting the guitar on her thigh while I sat opposite her with an anxious look on her face.

- Do you have something in mind, a suggestion, for me to play?

- I don't know... Play something that calms you down.

She smiled broadly again as she looked at the picture of Camila and started to strum the guitar until she found the right notes.

{Play in Little Things - One Direction}

The melody started and hearing Lauren's voice in those heart-pounding songs inside her was something out of this world.  I noticed her close her eyes like yesterday and smile so calmly and delicately, it was as if the tough, arrogant armor she wore yesterday had been broken and given way to comfortable clothes.  That song had something about it that took me to a corner of my life that I couldn't remember until that moment.

" - He's beautiful!

I heard Melissa's voice right next to my ear and gave a goofy smile as I looked at the young boy at school, his clear eyes and white but tanned skin, tall thin body and ruffled blond hair.  He really was beautiful.

- Yes, I see.

- Ally, he's coming here!  He is coming!

I straightened my glasses on my face and saw the handsome guy come closer and closer and offer me a friendly smile.

- Hello.

- Uh... hello...

It was clear how shy I was, I wasn't the "popular" type but I wasn't in the excluded area either.  Melissa made up that she had to talk to the chemistry teacher and disappeared among the students in the school hallway.
