Note: Not sure if I made it clear but Kaito also uses a sword as well as his devil fruit
As much as Kaito hated to admit it, he would love to run back to his Father when thinking of how hard living as an 15 year old in the world must be. The dangers of life and the consequences of his actions hit him like Thunder.
"It's 23rd of February isn't?" he asked myself
"Damn it, why did I decide to do that so quickly" he muttered before standing up after sleeping on the shore and being covered with sand
"I should probably just take a dip in the water so I am not covered with sand" He announced to no- one. Yep you heard that right, Kaito had his hate of sand even though he was on a random island he swam to after jumping from the boat and had limited rescources
'I sure am glad that Father trained me' then he stopped walking and realised
'I ate a devil fruit.' he mentally facepalmed as he backed away from the water
'I could have died' he quickly realised before standing up. As he looked around, all he saw was large trees and assumed this was the jungle.
'I should probably eat soon but I need to explore first' he thought as he stood up and walked towards the forest. After using his sword to cut through the vines in the path. He stepped back as he heard moving in the bushes. As he anticipated the next move, he quickly lifted the bush with his devil fruit and it revealed a tiger about to eat a boy who was standing up defending another boy
"Devil's Triangle," he said as he put his sword back in his sheath and walked towards the boys
"Are you both okay?" he asked pointing to the boy
"Don't expect a thank you brat." the boy who was defending the little boy said. Upon closer inspection, he had a lot of freckles as well as a scowl
"I didn't expect a thank you," Kaito said as he stood up and walked away
"Before I go, do you know where we are?" Kaito asked suddenly turning around
"Mt Colubo near Foosha Village" the freckled boy responded after some hesitation
"I see, thank you," Kaito said as he finally walked away leaving a very confused freckled boy and a sleeping boy with a small stitch under his eye
'What interesting people' thought' Kaito said as he was eating against a tree. Suddenly a figure came out of the bushes and he was debating whether or not to instantly slice it. He decided not to. After a couple of seconds, the figure came out and stood next to Kaito
It was the boy with little stitches under his left eye
"Hello. What is your name?" the boy asked
"Kaito. You?" Kaito replied cautiously
"Monkey D.Luffy," the boy said with a smile
"What are you doing here by yourself?" Luffy asked
"Exploring" Kaito replied bored while eating
"We are in Mt Columbo right?" Kaito asked with the intention of finding out if the boy lied
"Yep, we are" Luffy responded with his small smile
"How old are you?" Luffy asked
"15. You?" Kaito asked tilting his head
"8.." Luffy exclaimed practically jumping from his seat
"Ace said that you saved us and you could be dangerous" Luffy informed making Kaito sweatdrop
"So Mr. Freckles is Ace?" Kaito asked savoring the name and thinking of insults while Luffy nodded
"Yep!" Luffy replied with his usual smile
Note: I will update in short chapters since I noticed it's probably easier to read in smaller chapters so you can come back later
