When I get back it's only three p.m. so I decide to change out of my street clothes. I put on a pair of black leggings and a purple short sleeve crop top.

My life has been so hectic the past three days that I haven't even had time to sit and take a breath.

I love it.

The thing I don't think my family gets is I need this kind of life. The one that's constantly moving and changing. One that keeps me on my toes.

See my sister Rachel knew she wanted to become a high school teacher even before she was in high school.

She had it all planned out went to college in Georgia and ended up becoming a teacher at our high school in town.

My parents found it was best if she lived with us since she was working in town anyway. They felt it was a money saver to do that.

I know they would want that for me too. To become a nurse and work at the hospital in town. Then when Austin was ready for marriage I would just move from my parents house to his own.

That felt too planned. I mean I still one day want to marry him but I needed to be on my own first. How would I know what life is like away from family if I am always surrounded by them?

"You keep staring at the wall like that and I might think you've had a mental breakdown." Desiree says from the door of my room.

I turn to look at her, "Was it hard moving away from your family?" I ask and she comes to sit beside me.

"I mean I missed them but I loved the independence more." She admits and I get it.

I love the freedom. Not having to worry about your parents watching your every move.

"My family insists I will hate this life and want to come home."

"Sometimes our parents think they know what's best for us. They push us to be what they saw us becoming. It's in their nature to want to see this vision they had in their head turn into reality. All you have to do is change that vision. Show them that you love it here, that this is your future."

"Hopefully they will one day." I say feeling glum. So I decide to change the subject.

I tell Desiree about my day and she tells me about hers.

Turns out a little while after I left she met up with Luca and they went to see a movie together.

At around seven I make my way out to sit on the couch. Ashlynn had showed up about thirty minutes ago and she and Desiree were hanging out in the living room.

Ashlynn is currently sitting on the other side of the couch. Desiree sits in the single chair.

The door bell rings and Desiree gets up to answer it.

Three guys walk in, one of them being River.

"Where's Cole?" Desiree asks looking between them. "He's in Alabama visiting Delilah." Kai says placing two take out bags on the coffee table.

I did see that when I looked them up that the lead singer Cole Kenneth was married. I couldn't believe someone so young would get married. On the page it said his wife's name is Delilah, that must be who he went to see.

"Oh you must be the new roomie. Dez told us about you." Spencer says and I turn on my awkward switch.

See the thing is I am either extremely chatty or extremely quiet. Sometimes I don't know which is worse.
