13-Driving Lessons

I really need to learn how to drive. 

Now that I have my permit Desiree promised to teach me. 

Well that was until I couldn't even get us out of the parking lot. She drove us out to an empty lot to practice and I don't think it went so well. 

Why is it so hard to tell if I am in my line?

Tonight the guys are coming over for game night. 

Ashlynn is already here. She moved back to her apartment after the fashion show the other week. 

Her landlord is still in Canada. Jellyfish did end up catching the rat though. Ashlynn swept it all the way down stairs and in front of her landlords room door. 

She said it's his present for when he returns.

My family congratulated me on my first successful runway. It was nice to hear positive comments come out of their mouth. 

The prints from my first shoot came in too the other day. I sent some copies to my family, more specifically my grandma. 

I haven't heard from her but it's probably my parents fault. She doesn't have her own phone which means one of them would have to let her borrow theirs. 

"Knock knock bitches." Kai hollers from outside the front door. 

Desiree opens the door and they all come in. Cole is here but Spencer is in Alabama. 

The three of them take a seat on the floor and Ashlynn jumps at the bag of food like she hasn't eaten in years. 

"Slow your roll champ there is enough to go around." Kai says as Ash shovels food into her mouth. 

"What's up with you Ash?" Cole asks running a hand through his raven black hair. 

She holds up a finger quickly chewing and swallowing. 

"I can't keep anything in the cupboards because of the rats and my fridge broke. I haven't eaten in two days." We all look at her. 

"Why didnt you eat when you got here two hours ago?" Dez asks and Ash shrugs, "I was waiting for the real food."

"I'm sure Jellyfish wouldn't mind sharing her food with you." Kai says and she glares at him. 

"I'm not eating fucking cat food. I would rather starve." She says before shoveling more food in her mouth.

I really think she might not have eaten in two days. 

The rest of us get some food out of the containers and eat as well. 

"Who is the best driver out of the three of you?" Dez asks the guys. 

Kai and Cole both point to River. 

Desiree beams, "Perfect. River, you are officially in charge of teaching Miss Ava here how to drive."

Furrowing my brows I look over to her, "I thought you were teaching me."

"Girl you drive worse than my my eighty year old grandma, and she's driven on the wrong side of the road before." 

"I'm not that bad." I argue back and Ash laughs, "Sweetie you almost backed into a street lamp."

"Once." I say holding up my index finger, "Only once."

"Once is enough." Desiree says and I groan resting my head on the back of the couch. 

Then I look over to River, "Will you teach me?" I ask him and he nods. 

Smiling I walk around the table and give him a quick hug around the back, "Thanks Riv you're the best." I peck his cheek before going into the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
