Warnings for this chapter: Drug Use

Texting Ash and Dez, I see if they want to go to a club.

I just want to take my mind off of it, I can't handle thinking about it right now.

What it means, how I feel.

I don't want to feel anything.

They both text back saying they are down to go to a club later.

I don't even pay that much attention to the fact Ash agreed as I walk into the bathroom to shower.

The water runs down my body and I try to hold back the thoughts are are trying to spill out.

It's already nine o'clock at night so soon I won't have to focus on it.

I just need to hold on for a while longer.

Once I am out of the shower I begin doing my makeup.

As I apply some blush I hear the front door open and close.

"Ava?" Dez calls out from the living room.

"In the bathroom." I answer back putting my blush away and grabbing my eyeliner.

"Ash said she'll pick us up soon. I'm going to start getting ready."

Then I hear her bedroom door open and close.

My make up is done and I quickly curl the ends of my hair before going into my room to change.

I choose a short gold dress and black heels.

Slipping them on I remind myself that tonight will be fun.

I'll be out dancing with my friends.

Everything's ok.

Once Ash gets here, Dez and I head out of the apartment.

The three of us end up at the club I first ever went to.

That's where I met River.

For a moment I hesitate going inside.

I think about calling him and telling him what happened.

He would listen and I would cry.

I would cry.

I don't want to cry.

That thought is what makes me step into the club.

The lights are flashing, and the music is loud.

I squeeze through the hoards of bodies, heading towards the bar.

"Hey Ava slow down." Dez says from somewhere behind me.

Getting to the bar I show the bartender my stamp and ordering myself a shot.

In this moment I am glad I have a fake ID.

When Dez and Ash appear beside me I have already downed three shots.

Ash picks up the glass and smells it.

"Are you drinking?" She asks, her brows furrowing.

I nod, "Yep." I say taking the next shot the bartender offers.

Before I can down it Ash takes it out of my hand.

"Hey." I say trying to reach for it.

Ash raises it above her head.
