34-Birthday Boy*

River's birthday party starts off with balloons raining from the sky. 

He walks in with his sister Georgie, his eyes are locked to mine. 

Slowly he approaches me and a wide smile takes over my face. 

"You look stunning Ava baby." He says and I can't stop the blush that takes over my face. 

I smooth down his tie, "You look so good tonight." I say and he smiles. 

"Yeah?" He asks mischievously.

I nod and he places his hand on my hips. 

"Do I get to remove this dress myself tonight?" He asks against my ear. 

A shiver runs down my spine. 

River is extremely talkative tonight. 

I like it. 

"If thats what the birthday boy wants." I taunt. 

Who have I become?

"Hey you two get a room. Some of us are trying to eat." Kai says holding a slice of pizza in the air. 

Spencer nods agreeing with Kai. 

"What will make you lose your appetite is what Ash is currently reading on her phone." Dez says from beside Ashlynn.

She holds her phone to her chest. 

"Haven't you ever heard of privacy?"

Dez nods, "And that should only be read in the privacy of your own home."

"What is it?" Kai asks taking a bite of his pizza. 

We got pizza from Andi's and the whole renting out a ballroom and dressing fancy kinda was Kai's idea. 

Then I liked it so we went with it.

"She's giving him the sloppy toppy in a- what did it say Ash?" Dez asks, "A gas station parking lot?"

Everyone bursts out laughing and Ash shrugs. 

"It's a book for crying out loud. They could do it anywhere and I would still read...well mostly." She defends. 

"Ash you scare me." Kai says and Ash smirks, "Good."

Music starts to play and I see Cole walk in, Delilah has her arm wrapped around him.

All the girls tonight are wearing a dress she personally designed and made. 

"Happy birthday." Cole says patting River on the back. 

The song begins to pick up and Dez and Kai start dancing. 

Spencer and Georgie join right after followed by Delilah who drags Cole along with her. 

"Come on." I say grabbing Rivers hand. 

He follows me out and we start dancing. 

"Don't be a party pooper Ash." Dez whines and Ash rolls her eyes. 

She puts her phone in her purse before joining us. 

We probably look like a bunch of idiots dancing to a Katy Perry song right now. 

"Who chose this playlist?" Kai asks as 'California Girls' starts playing. 

Cole points to Delilah and she shrugs. 

"Bailey and I have amazing music taste. Deal with it." She says. 

Some of the songs are more recent but most are early two thousands throw backs.
