24-Stop Eye F*cking Each other

I dream about River again. 

In trying to distract myself from the kiss I ended up falling asleep. Where I then ended up imagining the kiss over and over. 

Then his kisses on other places besides my mouth. It was definitely not a pg dream. 

Desiree had knocked on my door ten minutes ago to let me know they guys were on their way over. 

I have been sitting on my bed for the past ten minutes trying to cool myself down. 

How am I supposed to face River after this dream?

My cheeks heat up at the thought of him. 

I can hear the front door open and shut followed by Ash's voice. 

Thank god, I still have some time to collect myself. 

"Ava I am here because of you, get your ass out here." Ash calls and I take a deep breath. 

Looking into my full length mirror I make sure my face is unreadable. God forbid one of them can tell where my mind went while I was unconscious. 

I head out and sit beside Ash on the couch. 

"So how did it go?" She asks me as she pulls her legs under her. 

I shrug, "Good, I passed."

"You were more enthusiastic when you walked in earlier." Dez says and now I am thinking about River. 

Great. 

Hopefully they can't see the blush that has taken over my face.

"Didnt River drive you?" Ash asks and I nod. She hums and I I hear knocking on the front door. 

Dez opens it and River and Kai come in. 

The moment I see him my heart beats quicker and my hands become clammy. He ditched the flannel and is now wearing a long sleeve black shirt. 

I can see the definition of his muscles through the shirt. A shiver runs down my spine as we make eye contact. 

It's one of those moments you see in movies. The world around me ceases to exist and it's just the two of us. 

I fight the urge to run up to him. To kiss him again like I did earlier.

"Ava can you come help me with the ice tray?" Dez calls out breaking me out of my trance. 

I stand up and go walk over to the kitchen to help her as I pass River my legs decide they don't want to work anymore. 

I trip over literally nothing and I get ready to hit the ground. Wouldn't be the first time I've tripped in front of a group of people. 

Before I can hit the ground though two strong hands grab my waist. 

My hands instinctively grab onto his arms. 

"That would've been a doozy." I say as I look up into those perfect grey eyes. 

The side of his lips curve up slightly, "Tripping on air now?" He asks teasingly. 

"You know I did that once. I am pretty sure the air way out to get me that day." Kai says and River and I release the hold on each other. 

He goes to sit beside Kai and I help Dez with the tray. 

We go back to sit in the living room after. 

I sit back on the couch next to Ash and Dez sits in the seat beside me.
