"I'm so tired. I can't wait to crawl into our big, soft bed and sleep." I yawned as we waited at the carousel for our suitcases.

"Why didn't you sleep on the plane like the rest of us did then?" asked Roman to me as he took the first of our suitcases off the conveyor belt.

"I tried, but it just didn't work out," I explained.

"Actually, it would be better if you stayed awake to get back into the normal routine. I don't want you to get jet lagged." he said as he now took the second suitcase and then headed towards the exit.

"I know, but I don't think I can last that long. My eyes are already dropping," I said.

"Hmm, I have an idea how to keep you awake." He replied with a smirk.

"Ro baby, if you want sex, you'll have to do the work. I'm too exhausted." I spoke as I yawned again.

"That's not what I meant, but we can talk about it later." he said as he pushed the suitcases through the airport.

"Then what did you mean? I can barely think straight," I muttered.

"I was thinking that we could quickly buy a pregnancy test here and then go home and find out if we already have a bun in the oven," Roman explained.

"My period isn't even late yet. That means we would need an early pregnancy test. I think that works 5 days before your period would be due. And please don't call it a 'bun in the oven'." I laughed.

"Then we'll get one of those. I'm dying of curiosity." he said excitedly.

"But not here at the airport. There are too many people here who know you. And I don't want photos of it in the press. And since you can't wait, we'll stop at a drugstore and I'll run in quickly to get one. You can wait for me in the car," I replied.

"That sounds like a good plan. Do you want to grab a quick bite to eat or do you need something to drink before we head off?" he wanted to know.

"No. I'm good. What about you? Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Nope, I'm good too. Let's go get the car then, Muffin." he replied as we made our way to the long term parking.

Some time later, Roman pulled into the parking lot of a drugstore.

"Okay, I'll be quick. I'll see you in a bit," I said, gave him a quick kiss and got out of the car to go in search of the right pregnancy test. Roman was absolutely convinced that it had worked immediately and that in nine months we would be able to hold a little Roman in our arms. At the rate he was going, we would have 5 children in 5 years.

I walked through the aisles of the drugstore until I finally found the shelf with the tests. It took me a moment to find the right one and make my way to the checkout.

"Well, well, well... If it isn't Mrs. Reigns herself. The woman who ruined my whole life." I heard someone say behind me.

I spun around and saw the person I could well do without. Instead of answering, I just kept walking.

"What? Don't you have anything to say to me?" taunted Ava as she followed me.

"Oh there are a whole lot of things I could tell you. But honestly, I'm disappointed that they didn't put you in jail. I hope the 400 hours of community service and a suspended sentence, help you think about what you did." I replied and kept walking.

"None of this would have happened if you bitch had stayed away from my wedding," she hissed, continuing to follow me.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that," I countered.

"Oh, and what do we have here?" she asked, snatching the package out of my hand.

"Oh you're fucking kidding me, aren't you?" she said growling.

"You really should expand your vocabulary. Now, if you'll excuse me!" I replied, taking the test back and making my way back to the checkout.

"You'll regret the day you got in my way!" she called after me.

I definitely had to tell Roman. But not until we knew if I was pregnant or not. If I was, I wanted to enjoy the moment with Roman. Nothing should cloud this special moment for us. There was still time for that tomorrow.

"There you are! Are you okay?" wanted Roman to know as I got back in the car and he saw the look on my face.

"Of course. I'm just tired. And now I want to know too. You transferred your curiosity to me, baby," I said with a smile.

Luckily he didn't ask further and instead drove us home. I wanted to help Roman with the luggage, but he insisted on doing it by himself. So while he got our luggage out of the car and into the house, I read the instructions for the test.

I went into the bathroom and did what I had to do. I quickly washed my hands and started the timer. This would probably be the longest 3 minutes of my life.

Quickly I made my way to the living room where Ro was already waiting for me. I put the test on the coffee table and sat down with him. Then I took his hand firmly in mine while my foot nervously rocked up and down.

"Two more minutes. God, I'm nervous." I whispered.

Roman put his other hand soothingly on my knee and then looked at me with his big brown eyes. Immediately a wave of calm flowed through me. That was something only he could do. With just a look, I relaxed.

When the timer started beeping, I almost jumped out of my skin, I was so excited.

"You check it, Ro!" I whispered as I turned off the timer.

Roman took a deep breath and took the test in his hand. He looked at it very carefully, but I could not interpret his facial expression. He neither smiled nor looked sad.

"Well? Come on, say something!" I demanded.

"We're going to have a baby!" he whispered, and I saw how tears were now welling up in his eyes.

"Is it true?" I asked softly and my husband nodded.

Immediately I was in his arms and we both could not hold back the tears of happiness. Then he covered my face with feather light kisses.

"Thank you, Muffin. Thank you for making my dream come true. I love you, I love you, I love you." he whispered against my mouth.

"You don't have to thank me. You contributed just as much as I did. And you have no idea how much I love you and how happy you make me." I replied softly as I wiped away his tears with my thumbs.

"I can't wait to tell everyone." Roman said as his warm hands rested on my stomach.

"I know, but you'll have to be patient for a while. We've only completed one week," I said as I placed my hand on his.

"It's going to be fucking hard," he sighed.

"Oh no doubt. But we'll just enjoy the time. We know that Operation baby has reached the next level," I replied.

With his determination, Roman had really managed to make both of our dreams come true in the blink of an eye. Our life together would soon be completed with a little being that was half Roman and half me.
