I laughed as I again pushed Roman's hand away from the plate of freshly baked cookies.

"They're not just for you, Ro!" I reminded him in an loving tone.

"But they taste so good. You guys did a great job. Just one more?" he replied, then looked at me with his big brown eyes. He looked so cute when he did that. Almost like a little puppy. It was impossible to resist that look and Roman was more than aware of it.

"Okay, but just one more. The rest is for later." I gave in.

After he had gleefully munched on his cookie, we went into the living room together and saw Saphira lying on the floor in front of the sofa, drawing something. Apparently she had inherited my creativity and love for painting. That made me proud and even though I was biased, I had to say that she was already pretty darn good for being three years old.

"Mommy, Daddy look. I drew this for Santa!" she exclaimed excitedly as I sat down on the sofa while Roman lit the fireplace.

"Come to mommy, princess. I want to take a close look," I said to her.

Immediately she jumped to her feet, grinning broadly, and joined me on the sofa. When she grinned like that, she looked so damn much like Roman. Such a beautiful girl and I was sure that when the time came, she would break some hearts.

She gave me her drawing and then carefully crawled onto the sofa.

"Oh, you did so well, Princess." I praised her as I stroked her back.

"Daddy, look." she said to Roman as he sat down with us.

"Woah, that's a masterpiece, Minimuffin. I'm sure Santa will love it." he too praised our daughter.

Saphira crawled over to her daddy and wrapped her little arms tightly around his neck. She was such a big daddy's girl and loved him so much.

"Dada!" we suddenly heard from the playpen.

Apparently little Mr Reigns had woken up from his nap and now wanted to cuddle with us too.

"Hold on a sec, Saphira. Daddy's just going to get Chris and he'll be right back." Roman said to her and then gently sat her down on the sofa before getting up and bringing the little man to us.

Saphira took the opportunity to snuggle close to me and rested her head on my chest. Together we watched as Roman went to Chris and lifted him up and came back to the sofa.

Christopher Matthew Reigns. Just one and a half years old and an exact copy of his father at that age. While Saphira looked like a perfect mix between us, Chris looked nothing like me. Well, his looks, his character was a whole different story. He definitely had that from me.

"Dinner is almost ready and then it's off to bed for you two. Then Santa can come and bring you your presents. Saph, you can put your drawing out with the cookies and milk for Santa. He will be so impressed." I told my family.

"Yes Mommy, I will." she replied with sparkling eyes.

Shortly after, it was time for dinner and the rest of the bedtime routine for the little ones. But unlike usual, it took a little longer to get the kids to bed. They were too excited because it was almost Christmas.

I loved spending Christmas here in our cabin. Even though we didn't get much snow, it was just beautiful. And as we had always hoped, the kids loved it here as much as we did. Saphira and Chris enjoyed spending time in nature and having uninterrupted time with their parents.

Since Christopher was also born here, it connected him to this place as much as his big sister. Even though his birth was far less dramatic, it was just as beautiful and magical as the first time.

When we sat down again on the sofa in front of the fire, Roman sighed contentedly and pulled me closer to him.

"How are you feeling?" he asked quietly, putting his hand on my stomach.

"Aside from the heartburn these two are giving me, I feel wonderful. It seems to me that they are just as excited about Christmas as their siblings. They've both been kicking like crazy all day. I don't know, maybe they're spearing each other," I replied with a laugh as I put my hand on top of my husband's.

"So the next generation is in the best hands." he joked, then gave me a loving kiss.

"Definitely. And the next time we come here, it's already time for them to be born. I can't believe how fast time flies." I replied as I rested my head against his shoulder.

"I know. I can't tell you how much I love you and the little ones. It's just like I've always wanted Christmas to be. The kids are asleep and I can snuggle on the sofa with my pregnant wife while the fire crackles quietly in the fireplace. You are truly my something more, Muffin." said Roman as he threw a blanket over both of us.

"I love you too and I'm thankful you insisted I come to the wedding that day. You're so cute when you're drunk, baby." I giggled.

"Yeah? Maybe I should get drunk more often." he said with a smirk.

"You'd better not. That's the way we ended up with them," I replied, stroking my growing belly.

Snuggled up like this, we enjoyed our time together and the silence that surrounded our favorite place. If it were up to me, me and my family could stay here forever.
