When I arrived home from my appointment with the doctor, everything was very quiet. Roman had just come home this morning and wanted to accompany me to the doctor, but he looked so tired that I insisted he stay home with the baby.
A little reluctantly he agreed. I loved him for wanting to accompany me as much as he could to appointments and other things, but I felt that it was just as important for him to rest after an exhausting weekend of live shows. His health was more important to me than having him accompany me.
Quietly I went into the house. It wasn't long before I heard the familiar sound of Roman's snoring. When I walked into the living room, I saw him asleep on the couch with the TV on. But he was not alone. On his bare chest lay our little princess, who was also fast asleep.
I was amazed that Saphira slept so well despite the noise her father made. But I knew from the beginning that our little one would not be disturbed by any kind of noises. Not even if the source of the noise was only a few inches away from her.
At the sight of my two favorite people, a big, proud smile spread across my face. Nothing could top this moment in cuteness. And of course I did not miss the opportunity to take a few photos of the two.
Afterwards, I put my purse away and washed my hands before returning to the living room. Slowly and carefully, so I wouldn't wake them both, I crawled onto the couch with them and snuggled into Roman's side. I rested my head on his shoulder while my hand gently stroked Saphira's head and back.
As we lay there nestled against each other, it didn't take long for me to close my eyes and relax. This right here was my happy place.
A few minutes later the snoring stopped and I felt a kiss on the top of my head. I lifted my head and looked at my husband with a smile.
"Hey, Muffin. When did you get home?" he asked sleepily.
"Not that long ago. It looked so comfortable over here with you guys, I couldn't resist cuddling with you." I replied and gave him a loving kiss.
"This is really nice. I could spend all day like this." sighed Ro.
"Me, too. But Saphira will probably object. Why aren't you wearing a shirt, anyway? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the sight. I'm just curious." I said.
"Well, the little lady spit up on me. And before I got around to putting on a fresh shirt, she was already asleep. So I figured we might as well take a nap together," he replied.
"That's good. You needed the sleep." I said, kissing his tattooed shoulder.
"And what did the doctor say? Is everything okay?" he asked a few minutes later.
"Yep. Everything is fine. He gave me the green light for all physical activities. If you know what I mean." I replied, wiggling my eyebrows.
"Muffin, I hope you know what that means... once the little one falls asleep tonight, we're in for a long night." he groaned as his dark eyes glittered with desire.
"I expected nothing less from you, Mr. Reigns," I said in a low voice and leaned in for a passionate kiss.
But it didn't last long, because only seconds later Saphira loudly made herself heard. Even though she was only 6 weeks old, I had a feeling that Roman's Minimuffin loved being the center of attention.
