"Do I get at least a little hint of where it's going?" I asked Roman as we got ready for bed in the evening.

"Nope. I want it to be a surprise, Muffin." he replied.

"And then how am I supposed to know what to pack?" I countered. Maybe that way I could convince him to tell me where we were going.

"I'll pack for you. Even though it probably won't be necessary. The hospital bag that's been living in the car for weeks probably has enough stuff in it for a week," he teased, but I knew he was just trying to distract.

"That's not true. There's only what me and the baby need in there. Plus one or two other things. I read on the internet about some things I should definitely have with me. Besides, my midwife said I should always have the hospital bag with me. Especially when we're not at home.

That being said, I don't know if I should let you pack for me, Ro. You know I love you and I really appreciate you wanting to do this, but the last time you packed a bag for me, you forgot my underwear." I replied.

"And who's to say I didn't do it on purpose, baby?" asked Roman in a lowered voice.

"Hmmm... when I look at it that way. Alright, you win. I'll let you surprise me." I finally gave in.

While I was in the shower the next morning, Roman packed our bags for our little trip. It made me a little uneasy not to know anything. I had no idea where we were going or how long the drive would take nor did I have any idea for how long we would be staying. The whole thing was driving me a little crazy, but I tried not to be a killjoy.

An hour later Roman had loaded the car with our stuff and had even thought of enough snacks and drinks. As I slowly and carefully got into the car, my husband turned on the alarm and locked our house.

"Are we ready?" asked Roman as he got into the car and looked at me expectantly.

"Yep!" I said and we were on our way.

Roman made sure we took regular breaks so I could move around, eat something and go to the bathroom. Blessed be this man, he had really thought of everything. After a drive of about four hours we arrived at our destination, but I only knew that because I had looked at the clock. For most of the drive I had been asleep.

When Ro announced that we had arrived, I was speechless at first. We were in the middle of the forest, far from the nearest town or even neighbors. And there between the trees stood a log cabin that looked like it belonged in a fairy tale. Simply beautiful. Somewhere in the distance you could hear a stream. In addition, the chirping of birds. I was sure that it could not be more perfect than this.

"Oh my... wow!" I stammered. I was still at a loss for words.

"I guess you like it?" asked Roman with a laugh.

"Oh 100%! It's so beautiful!" I whispered, captivated.

"I was hoping you would like it. Because I bought it. As a vacation home. While I realize we can't spend a lot of time here, I think it's a wonderful place for kids. And when we're not using it, we have a lot of family members who I'm sure will love it just as much, or we can rent it out, too." he explained.

"You really bought a log cabin for us?" I asked.

"Yes I did. It's an early childbirth gift and a belated wedding gift. Also, it crossed my mind that it's the perfect place for the second wedding. What do you think?" he replied, putting his arm around my waist as I still stared at the house.

"It's perfect. You are perfect, Mr. Reigns! Thank you for being such a wonderful human being." I spoke and turned to kiss him.

"Thanks, Muffin! You're not so bad yourself! What do you say we take a little tour around the house and then we can cook up something to eat. I made sure the supplies were stocked up. But if we need anything else, the nearest town is only 20 minutes away." he explained to me as he took our bags out of the car and we went inside.

The first thing I saw was the lovely living area with a fabulous wood burning fireplace. It looked so cozy in here.

"You really thought of everything, huh?" I praised him.

"I've tried it. We also have a heated hot tub on the back patio. This place also has solar panels on the roof and a power generator in case the weather is really bad and the power goes out," Roman said.

"I already love this place and I'm quite sure Princess Reigns will love it too when she's a little older. She can then explore the forest with us and watch animals. She will love to collect stones and leaves," I replied, already imagining our vacation here.

"I can't wait. Oh, and before I forget, our bedroom is pretty long. That's why I set up a little corner for you to paint in there. It's not as big as at home, but you never know when inspiration will hit you." he explained to me.

"Tell me, when did you do all this?" I wanted to know.

"That will remain my secret, Mrs. Reigns. All you need to know is that I love you and our family more than anything and that you deserve only the best." replied Roman.

"Now come with me. I'll show you around," he continued.

This place was already something very special for me. Just the fact that Ro had put so much thought and effort into it made it truly priceless.
