"I can't just sit around here forever, George." I snapped.

"And why not?" He crossed his arms and glared. "How come everyone else has to suffer because you want to travel?"

"No one should be that fucking attached to this house anyway! It's just a house!"

"No, Clay, it's a family. We've made their lives better. You can't just take that away from them because you're feeling bloody bored."

"This wasn't even my idea."

"It wasn't mine either, dumbass. If you would just stop and think, for one fucking second, you'd see how perfect it is here."

I stared at the ceiling. My thoughts were going to fast to comprehend, and I hated it. I could hear George talking to Sapnap through the wall.

I jumped up and grabbed my car keys, hurrying to my car.

"Dream!" I turned as I was stepping out the front door to see Sapnap. "Wait up." I sighed.

"You gonna give me some lecture about the house too?" I asked, malice edging my tone.

"Well yeah, of course, but I figured we'd get into your car before I started." He replied.

"Idiot." I muttered.

"What was that, green boy?"

"Nothing." We got in the car and I started it.

"So where are we going?" Sapnap asked.

"I hadn't really decided yet, I wasn't expecting company."

"Well, suck it up and drive." I pulled out of the driveway. After a few minutes of silence, he spoke up.

"Dude, you gotta stop with this shit." He said seriously.

"Whatever do you mean?" I tossed back.

"Don't use that tone. Anyone would kill to be with George, or at least I would, and you're willing to lose that because you want to go "see the world"? Your world is here. Stop pretending like that's nothing."

"You never told me you liked George." I said quietly.

"You never asked." He replied, eyes fixed on the hills. "It's too late anyways, all I ask is that you don't ruin this."

"I just...something doesn't feel right."

"Or, everything is right, and you've just never felt like this before." He mused. The ocean stretched out to our left and fog blurred its edges.

"Have you ever met someone you felt was forever?" He let the question fall into the silence. "Because that's who you both are to me."

"I have."

"Please don't let this fade, Dream. I don't know what I would do."

The silence returned like a blanket, weighing down our words so they were only left stuck in our throats.

"Turn right." He said firmly.
