I awoke with Dog snuggled up in my arms. Well, at least I wasn't completely alone.

Oh.

Dream.

I sighed as I remembered. For a moment I just lay there, thinking about everything. Why had I done that? God, I hated myself sometimes. I shook my head and stretched, swinging my legs over the bed and flinching as my feet touched the cold floor. I really needed an area rug or something. Dog leapt off the bed behind me, shaking the fatigue from his limbs.

I walked out of my room, praying Dream wouldn't be in the kitchen. Dog trotted behind me, his little paws making little scritch noises on the floor. I slipped into the kitchen, where Kay was scrambling eggs. Her long red hair was thrown up in a high ponytail. She looked up as I entered.

"Morning, George."

"Morning, Kay." I heard footsteps in the hallway and prayed to....anyone listening that it wasn't Dream.

As goes my luck, it was. His presumably green eyes were tired and restless, filled with emotions I couldn't read. He was wearing a black and white checkered flannel over a white shirt and those gorgeous white skinny jeans. His blonde hair was falling in his eyes and to my surprise he was wearing a pair of glasses similar to Wilbur's. I looked away as my face inevitably flamed. I heard Kay chuckle under her breath.

"Any requests, boys?" I opened my mouth but nothing came out.

"I'd like some scrambled eggs and bacon if possible. And a piece of toast would be nice too, if it isn't too much to ask." He shot Kay that kind smile that made me melt. I slapped myself internally.

"Pancakes and eggs, please."

"Alright, I'll have that ready for you guys in a few." As Dream sat down a few seats away I fidgeted with my hands. When Kay passed us our plates I stood up quickly and left, feeling Dream's regretful gaze burn into my back. Why'd he have to look like that?

I took my breakfast up to my room. Then I sent out a stream warning on twitter and got my computer set up. I talked with my chat for a while as I finished my breakfast. I had hoped streaming would take my mind off of Dream but obviously I was foolish for thinking such things because that's all chat would talk about. I switched to Minecraft and played bedwars for the first time in a while. I sucked, as usual. I played for a while and tried to ignore chat, which was spamming HI DREAM!! and DREAMS IN CHAT!!!

I didn't even want to check. I heard a knock at my door and I muted and stood up. Sapnap was at the door, and he barged past me. He flopped down on my bed, then looked at me and laughed.

"George, end your goddamn stream before dttwt trends Sad Gogy." I snorted and said a quick goodbye to stream. When I turned back to Sapnap he had an unusually serious look on his face.

"Listen, George. Dream-" I huffed and rolled my eyes.

"Did he put you up to this?" I said snarkily, hoping his answer was yes but knowing it would be no.

"No. Will you just shut up and listen for a second?" He said annoyed. I shrugged.

"You're stupid sometimes, George. But don't be stupid about this. Ever since you met, you're all Dream will talk about. He's been there for you no matter what. That kind of love - whether platonic or not - is incredibly hard to find. Don't let it slip out of your hands, and definitely don't push it out of your life. So if you could, for once in your life, listen to my advice on this; that'd be great." He finished. I smiled softly.

"Thank you Sapnap. I don't think I appreciate you enough." I hugged him.

"You don't, but I love you anyway." He smiled back at me and checked his watch. He frowned.

"I do have to go though, you two better work this out."

"I hope I can fix this." He met my eyes.

"I know you can fix it George. You're one of the best people I know." He closed the door behind him and I climbed onto my bed, leaning back and resting my head on my hands. I stared at the ceiling. As I got lost in thought, I drifted into a light sleep.

I was in a lush green forest. I heard a cannon in distance. I recognized the sound almost immediately.

Oh fuck.

I began to run, bursting into an open meadow. In the middle lay a metal - you guessed it - Cornucopia. I heard a crack behind me and I whipped around. Dream's hands were in the air.

"George? You shouldn't be in the open." I stepped backwards, eyes flicking to the bow on his back and the knife on his belt. "Come back to camp." He gestured with his arm, which had deep scars on it - scars I hadn't seen before. I frowned.

"Are we...allianced?" He laughed.

"Of course. Did you hit your head?" I shook my head as I followed him through the forest. Ahead lay a camp. Faint gray smoke emerged from the fire in wisps. Sapnap had his loose hair tied up with a strip of white cloth. Zak and Darryl were stripping plants. They smiled at me. I leaned closer to Dream.

"Weird question, but what district are we from?" He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head? I'm from 1 and you're from 4, with Sap."

"Oh. Who is from your district?" I asked.

"Techno." His eyes darkened and he sighed. "He's teamed with a child and his friends from 2." There was another rustle in the bushes. Dream tensed. 7 shadows jumped from the undergrowth.

"RUN!" Dream commanded. I followed him, my feet pounding heavily against the ground. I heard screams and I stopped.

"George! There's nothing we can do for them, we have to go!" I looked at him and I looked back towards camp where all of my friends were being slaughtered. It was between them and Dream. I turned back to Dream. I remembered his smile, and the way he wheezed when he laughed. And I couldn't choose the others. I heard them scream for me as they were torn apart. And I couldn't turn around and choose them. I couldn't help them. All I cared about was helping Dream. The dream faded as I was brought back to the real world, to the safety of my bedroom.

!!END OF BAD STUFF!!

My eyes were burning, and tears slipped down my cheek. But I knew.

Dream was my home, and I never wanted to lose him.
