I slipped into the kitchen. The sun was just rising, and I had just finished my workout. Kay was flitting about, earbuds in her ears. I sat down, unwilling to interrupt her flow. I scrolled through my phone, liking tweets and posts on Instagram.
"Good morning Dream." I looked up to see Kay smiling.
"Good morning Kay."
"Sorry, I don't have breakfast ready yet, I wasn't expecting anyone to be awake at this hour." I laughed.
"I'm sure it's just me, and don't worry, I don't need breakfast yet. I just wanted a little company in the form of human presence, if that makes sense." She nodded.
"Well, you're welcome to hang around then."
"Thanks." She put her earbud back in, and I returned to scrolling.
After about an hour or so, she set a plate down and slid it towards me.
"I heard cinnamon rolls are one of your favorites?" I nodded.
"Who told you that?"
"I did." I turned to see George leaning on the kitchen door frame. I grinned, and he sat down on the stool beside me.
"Good morning, Georgie." I kissed him on the cheek.
"Good morning, Dream-"
"AH, it is a great morning for some dnf content!" Quackity dragged a stool loudly over the floor to sit next to George. I rolled my eyes.
"Good morning, Quackity."
"Good morning, Gogy."
Karl and Sapnap arrived not long after, both pulling up a stool to the counter.
"Crew boys breakfast!" Sapnap bit his lip, and I punched him.
"How about a crew boys day?" Karl suggested. I shrugged.
"We were planning on doing a lie detector video today, and it'd be way more entertaining if you and George joined." Quackity offered with a grin. I looked at George, and he shrugged.
"Sure. When?"
"In like an hour or so."
"I ought to get dressed then." George said, standing up.
"Me too." I looked down at my workout clothes - definitely not a youtube worthy fit.
George and I returned to our rooms. I stared at my closet.
Finally, I grabbed my white hoodie, a grey flannel to go over it, and a pair of ripped black jeans. I opened my door and walked down the hall. I made two cups of espresso, and I was putting the lid on the second one, George appeared.
He was wearing a white wilbur crewneck with a pair of ripped black jeans similar to mine. I handed him a coffee.
"Guess we were thinking the same thing today, huh?" He asked. I laughed.
"Yeah, we're twinning." We made our way down to the studio rooms, holding a light conversation on the way.
This is nice.
I pushed open the door, almost flinching from the level of chaos emanating from the room.
"You're dogwater! You're actual dogwater!"
"I am not! I swear to God-"
"Boys, boys," Quackity said through a laugh. "Let's just chill."
"Make me." Sapnap retorted.
