The words hung in the cold London air for a moment too long. I felt fear start creeping in, biting my lip.

Maybe that was too far. We've barely seen each other again, and I just-

"Will I- what?" I cleared my throat.

"I mean, you know me, I'm definitely just kneeling here for no reason."

"Oh shut up, I'm just processing."

"Could you, uh, process a little faster?"

"I...don't know."

"Ok? What does that mean?" I asked hesitantly.

"It means I don't know yet. I mean, it's been weeks since we last spoke and it wasn't exactly on good terms." I nodded.

Yet.

That's not a no.

"You're right, I'm sorry." He smiled, and stepped a little closer.

"No need to apologize, Clay. I'm just a little shocked you're ready to commit like that."

"I had a few weeks to think while you were gone. You kind of mess with my head, you know that?" He wrapped his hands around my neck and I touched his cheek with my hand.

"I know." He stood on his tiptoes so we were close to eye level.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked softly.

"Always."

The world fell back into place, and the London skyline became obsolete as his lips were all I could process.

He pulled away to breathe.

"Hey Dream?"

"Yeah."

"I'm kind of cold." I laughed.

"Let's go back downstairs."

"Good morning boss man." Tommy gave me a smile as I emerged from the hallway.

"Good morning Tommy."

"How is Gogs?" He asked.

"I mean he's about the same as I've been. Exhausted, burnt out. But I owe you a favor. A big one, at that." He grinned.

"That you do. How was the roof?"

"It was...an experience. I kind of," I cleared my throat. "Proposed."

"You WHAT?" I gave him a look.

"I proposed."

"How long have we been in the UK? Like, maybe 36 hours total, and you're already trying to marry Gogy? Couldn't have even, you know, given him maybe a day to process you still exist? Are you TRYING to fuck yourself over?" I smiled.

"Well when you put it like that..."

"What's done is done, I guess. What did he say?"

"I don't know."

"Like, you don't know what he said or he actually said I don't know?" He asked incredulously.

"He actually said I don't know." I shrugged.

"Well, at least it wasn't a definite no." He offered.
