I've never been that much of an explorer. I like clean lines and happy endings. But I guess I can understand why Dream is so obsessed with finding the next high.
Maybe I could get used to that.
"George~" I blinked my eyes open to see Dream standing in my doorway, leaning on the frame.
"Mm." I grumbled.
"We have to say goodbye to SBI."
Oh. Right. Wilbur, Niki, Techno, Tommy, Tubbo, Drista and Ranboo were going on a roadtrip. They planned to meet up with Phil and Kristin. Wilbur promised Dream he would keep an eye on Claire, of course.
"Alright." I stood up, my eyes adjusting to the light. We made our way down the stairs, where everyone waited.
"Come home safe, ok?" Sapnap berated them, and I laughed.
"We will. Technoblade never dies," Techno shot back.
"Are you excited?" I turned to Claire, and she nodded enthusiastically.
"Yeah, I can't wait to get on the road." She smiled.
"Good. I'm sure you'll have fun." I replied.
"I know she will," Tommy said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Ugh, you're so tall." She shoved off his hand and he pretended to be offended.
"You're just annoyed I'm a whole foot taller than you." He grinned. She shook her head.
"I'm clearly the bigger man, don't let the height get to your head cadillac boy." She poked him in the chest, and he only smiled.
"If I'm cadillac boy, you're my cadillac girl, you know that right?"
"It's boss cadillac girl to you." She snapped back, and I laughed.
"Hey, if we want to meet up with Phil before nightfall, we have to go now." Wilbur called, and everyone gathered up to leave. We said our last goodbyes and waved them off. After a moment of silence, Sapnap turned to Dream and I.
"I'm going to go down to LA for a week with Karl and Quackity."
"Now?" Dream asked. Sapnap nodded.
"Ok." I said.
"When are you leaving?"
"Like ten."
"Dude, that's in like an hour, you couldn't have told us in advance?" I asked.
"I just did." Sap smiled. "I have to go pack now though."
"You're such an idiot."
Dream and I looked at each other.
"Well." I said.
"Well." He returned.
"I'm gonna go get dressed." I turned to walk up the stairs. I inhaled sharply as I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.
"We're gonna have to figure out some things to do while they're gone." He murmured in my ear. I turned to meet his eyes.
"I'm sure we'll come up with something." He smiled. "But let me go get dressed first." I walked up the stairs, pushing open the door to my room.
I threw on a pair of ripped blue jeans and light blue cardigan over top of an off white tank top.
I slipped on my top right as Dream opened my door.
"I know what we should do today." He said excitedly.
"What?"
"We haven't seen enough of the coast, so we're going to spend the day driving down it. We can stop at cafes and stuff." He grinned.
