1 1/2 years later

MATTHEWS POV
"Do understand you what your mission is" says Alex.

"Of course I do"I say.  He walks over behind me. I hide the papers that I was writing on. He kisses my neck.

"What are those" he whispers on my neck.

"Surprise" I say with a smirk. He laughs against my neck. His lips brushing against it.

"You need to leave" he says standing up.

"But I don't want to" I whine. I've been nervous about the war. I mean who would the fate of the world lies in the hands of four teenagers who barely even know how to do geometry.

"Dont be scared" he says.

"What did I say about reading my mind" I yell walking out the door. I hear him laughing.

"And I made sure to take those papers with me." I say. I hear him groan as I close the door. I chuckle and fly off to the palace.

Yes with the powers of the divinities I can fly and I'm gonna be honest. It's so much fun.

I arrive at the palace and see God waiting at the door. I land and walk over to him.

"Matthew, how have you been" he says with a smile on his face.

"Good" I say.

"You ready" he ask. I nod.

"What do I have to do"I ask shaking of the nervousness.

"Well you pretty much have to partner with a Hell divinity and chose the fate of humans. Listen don't be nervous and don't let fear show. The second fear is shown you become consumed by it" he explains.

"How do I get consumed" I ask.

"A gas will be released into the atmosphere called fearityum" he answers.

"And" I say confused by his blunt answer.

"It turns feats into reality" he explains.

"Oh okay then" I say shocked. Now I'm even more nervous.

"You'll be partnering with Jay. Go meet him at the Gateway" he say and wards me off.

The gateway is the median between heaven and hell. It's mainly where all the fallen angels and outcast demons live.

When I arrive I see Jay waiting at the water fountain in the center of the area. I land and tackle him causing us to both fall it to the fountain.

"You could have just said hi Matt" he says pissed off.

"I know" I kiss his cheek like I always do.  It's the one thing that Alex hates me doing. I get out of the fountain and Jay slaps my back as soon as I step out. I groan in pain.

"Pay back for getting me wet" he says with a smirk.

"Wow you're really living up to demon status" I say. He nods. I roll my eyes.

"So who's first" he ask. I shrug.

'Dale Benson' says Alex through mind link.

'Thanks babe' I respond. I feel his lips on my neck. I love it when he does that.

"Dale Benson" I shout to Jay has already started walking away.

"And how do we find him" he shouts back.  I catch up to him.

"Well didn't you bring the booklet they gave us for the mission" I say.

"Nope" he says popping the ope.

"Why" I groan. He shrugs.

"Didn't want to" he says. He spreads his bat-like wings and flies up into the air. I do the same.

"Jay what is your problem" I say.

"You. You're annoying the shit of me now get the fuck away from me" he snaps and flies faster.

The last six word of that sentence ring in my head. My wings give out and I fall to the earth.

I try to open my wings but I can't move. The only thing I can to is think about what Jay said. The words ring throughout my brain making it harder and harder for me to move. I close my eyes to accept my fate.

I feel someone catch me and we fall and roll on the ground. I look up and I see him the dark haired man with wings that I meet two years ago and fell in love with. Alex.

He gets up and runs to me panicked. His face is scratched. I lift my hand to his face and it fall back to the ground.

My vision starts to go black.

"Alex"I whisper. A tear rolls off his face and lands on my cheek. Kats now standing behind him.

He bends down to kiss me but she kicks him in the side before he can reach me.

My vision goes black.
