Chapter 8

I hear a knock on my door and panic. Alex was fast asleep. I go to open the door. It's Jessie and Zach.
"Hey" I say. "Come on in." I step out of the way to let them in. they start to move towards my room. I jump in front of them.
"What the hell are you doing Matthew" Zach asks freaked out by me.
"Let's hang out in the living room" I recommend. They turn around and move towards the couch.
"So what's up why weren't you at school" Jessie asks.
" I said I was sick" I answer
" Liar" Jessie yells. She can always tell when ever someone is lying to her.
"Okay I just didn't want another beating today" I say.
"It's hot in here" Zach says taking off his jacket revealing a large bruise on his forearm.
"Omg what the heck happened Zach" I asks .
"Guess and did you just sensor yourself" he answers. Dang it I forgot I've been with Alex all day so now I've stopped cussing.
" Gosh dang it did Jared beat you up again" I ask. He nods. I hear Alex scream.
"What was that" Jessie asks in terror.
" I he no idea I'll go check it out" I say. I walk into my room. Alex is in fetal position on my bed. I walk over to him. He looks up at me. His face red with tears streaming down his face.
" Matthew is everything okay" Jessie yells coming down the hall way.
" You need to leave Alex" I whisper. He nods and disappears. Jessie burst through my door.
"What was that" she ask.
"The neighbors probably" I say. she looks at me as if she was trying to look into my soul.
" Anyways we have to leave see you tomorrow" she says walking out of my room.
"Alright I'll see you guys tomorrow" I say. They leave. Alex reappears.
"Babe I'm sorry I just had a bad dream" he explains.
"It's okay" I say. "But what are we going to do if you ever get seen?"
"Say I am your boyfriend" he says with a shrug. "That goes to a different high school."
"But my friends will want to know how we met" I sigh.
" Tell them we meet at like a cafe or something" he says with a slight chuckle.
"Okay. I guess that works" I say laughing. I kiss him with all that I could. "Now what are we going to do about Jared?"
