MATTHEW'S POV
Alex sits in front of me in shock not knowing what to say about the adoption. The look on his face shows happiness but at the same time sadness.
"What" I ask.
"What are we going to do if something happens to one of us during this war particularly you seems how I can't die" he ask trying to find flaws within the plans I make like always.
"Alex I'm already half-dead. So if I die the rest of the way I will still be with you and these are babies that have already died. I know it's depressing and sad that we are technically taking the children of other people" I explain.
He smiles and chuckles at the last part. He sighs and and kisses my cheek softly.
"Okay, honey" he says. I kick his shin. He chuckles.
" You know I hate it when you call me that" I snap.

JAY'S POV.
Why did I say those things to Matthew. I'm not mad at him. I just did it without thought. I called him annoying which he can tend to be but not really. And I told him to get the fuck away from me. I would never tell him that he's afraid of rejection.
"Hey babe what's wrong" my boyfriend Bryan ask. Oh yeah I have a boyfriend now.
We've been dating for about a year now. He came out shortly after Matthew beat the shit out of Jared. In fact a bunch of students at our school did.
