ALEX POV
Two weeks later
"Alex I'm not sure if I'm ready for this" Matthew whispers.
"Listen Matt you have nothing to worry about" I say kissing his forehead. He looks up at me and nods.
"Alright then I guess I gotta go" he says grabbing the dagger. He kisses me.
"Matthew remember you can't hesitate killing....even if it's Kat. But don't jump straight to killing. Try to talk them out of the spell" I say. He nods and walks out the door.
MATTHEW POV
I stand in front of the door for a minute before I leave. I look down at the blade in my hand. The light gleaming off the silver.I teleport to the Gateway.
When I get there I see Jay and I sigh. Why does he have to be the first. I hope this will be easy.I walk to Jay.
"Matthew" he cries running at me. I can't tell if he want to kill me or hug me. I prepare the dagger just in case.
He gets closer to me and I can see his eyes watering. So he wants to hug me. I relax my grip on the blade in my hand.
He hugs me then backs away. Tears falling down his cheeks.
"I'm so sorry" he cries.
His eyes go black then change back to normal. I tighten my grip on the knife. He gets into fighting position.
"Jay you don't have to do this. You can fight it" I yell.
"I'm sorry Matt I really am" he says the charges me. I run away.
"Jay stop it" I scream.
"Get your scrawny little ass over here and stop running like a little bitch" he yells.
I slow down but don't stop completely. I wait until he's close then I turn swiftly cutting his cheek whit the silver blade. He screams in pain.
"Jay fight the spell you can do this" I pant. Putting him into a head lock. He struggles trying to get away resulting in me slicing him in multiple places. He finally stops. I release. He flops to the ground. I check for his pulse. It's faint. He's still alive. I walk away.
I'm sorry Jay I really am.
