J E N N I EI took what Cassandra and Kurt said seriously. I went to the only person on campus that I know would help me out with my problem.
I entered the school's library and saw Skylar sitting down at a table by herself. "Hey, Sky." I greeted the older girl as I walked up to her. "Hi, Jen." She smiled as she sat her books down.
"How did the apartment hunting go?" Skylar questioned. "It went well. We settled on a place in Bushwick. It's very spacious and thankfully, my part of the rent is cheap." I responded as I sat down next to her.
"That's great." She smiled. "Can I ask for a favor?" I asked bluntly. "Of course, what's up?" Sky answered. "My dance teacher, Cassandra as you know, blatantly said that I'm not sexy." I told her.
"Is she blind? You are sexy. Crazy sexy even." She smiled. "Right?!" I replied in agreement and she laughed. "Anyways, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could be my dance partner. There aren't enough guys in my class." I explained.
"Plus, I know you can dance really well." I added. "Cassie doesn't allow upperclassmen to work with underclassmen." She informed me. "Oh okay. I'm sorry for bothering you during your studying." I apologized sincerely as I stood up from my seat.
"Jennie, wait." Skylar said seriously. "Screw the rules. What kind of friend would I be if don't help you? I think it'll be very fun to do." She told me and a huge smile appeared on my face.
"Thank you so much!" I said appreciatively as I gave her a friendly hug. "Now if you don't mind me asking, can you do me a favor?" She asked. "Sure, what's up?" I asked curiously.
"I'm my vocal focus class, it's uneven and for our project we need to be in groups of three. I would love it if you joined my group." Skylar explained. "Sure. I never turn down a chance to put on a performance." I winked.
