J E N N I E"Is that Jennie out there?" My father asked. "Do you want to go somewhere?" Santana asked me as she had me leaning against the outside of my house. "Okay." I answered. We both climbed into her truck and off we went.
I looked at Santana confusedly as she pulled in front of this abandoned house. To be frank, it was quite big. "Wait here." Santana smiled before climbing out of the truck. She ran over to the abandoned house and went inside.
I climbed out of the passenger's seat and immediately stared up at the moon. It was beautiful. I loved how the light reflected on the lake in front of me.
"Jennie!" Santana shouted. I looked over and she raised a lateen that she found in the abandoned house. "Come on!" She shouted. I immediately ran over to the house.
"Okay, you're gonna have to close your eyes." Santana smiled. I looked at her skeptically before covering my eyes with both hands. "Watch your step." She warned as I started to enter the house.
"Alright, stay there. Don't open your eyes." Santana ordered as she closed the front door. "Okay, Lopez manor." Santana smiled as she opened her arms.
I opened my eyes and the house looked not only abandoned but, something that came out of a historic era.
"It was built in 1772." Santana informed me as we started walking over to a destroyed staircase. "Rumor has it that Francis Lopez proposed to his wife on these steps." She informed me.
"Oh." I smiled as I hopped onto the steps.
"Be careful. They're broke. Look at that." Santana laughed as she quickly grabbed my wrist. I hopped back down while Santana was still holding onto my wrist.
