"I miss the air, I miss my friends!" I sang passionately before writing the lyrics down on my notepad. "What is all that racket?!" Kurt asked irritatedly as he, Santana, and Rachel stormed into the living room.

"Babe, what are you doing? Why aren't you with me in bed?" My girlfriend asked as she tiredly rubbed her eyes. She and Rachel walked over to the couch and both sat down on the opposite sides of me.

"Since we're all up now, I'll make us some tea." Kurt announced as he entered the kitchen. "I completely forgot that I was supposed to perform a brand new song in my songwriting and composing class tomorrow." I sighed tiredly.

"I've been so busy with prepping for my magazine cover and taking extra dance lessons that I completely forgot about this assignment." I told them.

"Okay, what are you writing your song about?" Rachel asked curiously. "The song is called Million Years Ago. I'm playing it on my acoustic guitar. It has a melody that I never played before." I replied.

"The song is about growing up. Lately, I've been missing our time in high school. I'm blessed to have the life I currently have but, life was easier when the only thing I had to worry about was getting a solo in a song." I expressed.

"Can we hear what you've written so far?" Kurt asked as he entered the living room with a tray full of teacups in his hands. "Sure, what you heard when you walked in was the chorus. That's all I have so far." I replied.

"My teacher said my songs haven't been as raw as they were when I first arrived at the school. So, I have been trying to dig in deep for these lyrics." I added honestly.
