UPON WAKING UP, Law was greeted by the usual feeling, a cold space right next to him on the mattress.
At first, he thought nothing of it since he was used to it, yet when he remembered the last night, he opened his eyes and sat up in his bed, looking around and searching for Luffy.
Of course he wasn't disappointed because he hadn't woken with him next to him.
There was just a little spark of worry because he wasn't sure where the strawhat had gone.
That was the only reason. Nothing more.
With heavy, stiff limbs, he got out of bed, put on some clothes and shoes, before he left his room and headed out into the hallway, his feet finding their way on their own to his destination.
Law's eyes were still heavy with fatigue when he stepped inside his cuisine, being greeted by the sight of Luffy breakfasting with a few members of his crew. He had already expected the strawhat to have gone to the kitchen. It literally was the first spot where he would search for him.
When the teen saw him standing in the doorframe, he smiled and waved his hand, which held a sandwich.
“ Good morning, Torao !”
The heads of his crew members turned towards him and he saw the happy expressions on their faces.
“Mornin' Law. I didn't expect the strawhat to get up earlier than you.” Ikkaku greeted him, her cheek resting on her hand as she gave her captain a smirk.
“That's true, usually, you are the first one who is awake.” Shachi agreed.
As he walked towards the fridge, Law ran his hands over his face, trying to rub the sore feeling of fatigue away.
They were right, usually, he was up early in the morning, or he was still up from pulling an all-nighter. It was rare for him to feel like this, his body could barely comprehend the fact that he had slept for seven whole hours.
His inner organs were probably crying tears of joy, happy that their owner had granted them the chance to do their work properly for once.
When he opened the fridge, he quickly found the bottle with milk and then grabbed into the shelf above, not even having to look to find the package with cornflakes.
He poured some of it in a bowl, added milk and dropped a spoon inside of it, then turned and walked towards the table, sitting down on the bench next to Bepo.
The polar bear looked down on the bowl as he chewed on a sandwich.
“You should really eat healthier. You can't eat cereals for breakfast every morning, Law.”
