The sunshine came down like it hadn't before that summer. On the tiles outside of the sizeable house stood a table with chairs surrounding it. Beyond the tiles was a large grass field surrounded by trees.

Dante sat on his father's lap. On the other side of the table sat a man and a woman next to each other. They, together with Dante's father, were in a conversation. Dante was only half paying attention. The grape in his hand was more interesting.

Nicoletta and the couple's son were outside of hearing distance. They sat on the grass. Enjoying themselves and each other's company.

'Too bad the Lauriers and their son couldn't make it. Luckily, Nicoletta and Arthur seem to be hitting it off pretty well without them, don't you think?' the man sitting next to the woman commented.

*A/N. 'Laurier and their son' does not refer to Benjamin's father, but Benjamin's father's brother and their dad
