Olivia didn't recognize the first man who walked in. She couldn't see his face well either, only his silhouette. After a couple of steps, he came to a halt.
Olivia felt her mother's hands on her upper arm. Her grip tightened, and she moved closer.
A second man walked in. He was built taller and more muscular. He stopped besides the first man.
'Who are you?' Olivia asked with her most assertive voice.
She wished it didn't crack.
The men didn't answer her. Instead, the second man turned towards the first.
'Mr. Laurier, do I...' his voice waited or the first man to finish his sentence.
Olivia recognized his voice. It confused her.
But if Dante stood in front of me, who laid in the room with me and my mother? she thought.
'You know what to do,' the first man answered.
Olivia sat up straight as Dante's silhouette walked to the form on the ground.
'What are you doing?' she asked.
No one answered. Her mother shifted and moved slightly in front of her. Dante reached the form. Olivia saw his silhouette fumble with his jacket; he took something out of a pocket. He squatted down next to the form. What followed was a horrible sound.
Traitor.
Olivia remembered what the men had told her a couple of days ago. Dante was tasked with killing Benjamin. And he just did. Like it was nothing.
He pretended to be on Benjamin's side. But he never was.
A man from the hall stood in the door frame. Dante was still down on the floor with Benjamin. His hand laid on the dead man's head.
'What do we do with the women?' he asked.
'Get rid of them too,' the Samuel said.
