53. I'll know and see everything

'We'll be there at the end of the day for sure,' Benjamin said.

'That's sooner than I thought,' Dante said.

Benjamin smiled and locked eyes with Dante. He smiled back.

'That's a good thing, right?'

'Definitely,' Dante agreed. 'After these past few days, it's a relief.'

'For sure.'

'Plus, you'll be able to see your family again. Are you looking forward to that?'

'Yeah. It's been a while since I've seen them. Hopefully, they won't be angry with me for missing some big, important dinner.'

'I'm sure they'll understand once we explain our situation.'

'I hope so,' Benjamin laughed.

Olivia let out an awkward chuckle too, hearing the two.

'Good that we don't have to travel for days,' she said.

Dante averted his eyes and focused back on the road in front of him. Benjamin looked over his shoulder, and quickly smiled at Olivia before doing the same as Dante.

The three of them woke up early in the morning and managed to rent two horses. Since Olivia didn't know how to ride one, she sat behind Benjamin holding his waist. Dante rode a horse on their left side.

Her being behind the two, made them forget she was even there. Olivia sensed she ruined a moment the second she chimed into the conversation.

The two now remained silent for a while before Benjamin started up the conversation with Dante again.

'This will be the first time meeting them for you, right?' he asked.

'It is.'

'Are you nervous?'

'Why?'

'Because it's your first time meeting them.'

Olivia kept her mouth shut.

'I'm meeting them as one of your friends, right? That's not incredibly anxiety inducing.'

Benjamin chuckled softly and tilted his head down.

'I guess so,' he said.

'Still, I'm not completely relaxed,' Dante chuckled back.

'That's alright. I'll be with you the entire time.'

'Good.'

'Everywhere you go,' Benjamin continued.

'As you should.'

'I'll be watching you.'

Dante laughed as he caught onto the joke.

'I'll know and see everything.'

'Alright.'

'I'll hear your every breath.'

The two men laughed in unison.

What is happening? Olivia thought with a slightly uncomfortable smile on her face.
