Blog Entry 4:
Monday rolled around, and I was dreading every minute of it. Mondays are usually the best day of the week: fresh start, new week and school, but I couldn't enjoy a minute of it because of Christopher. I sulked around my room for about 30 minutes. I'm particularly good at sulking. I flopped on my bed, groaned super loud and even punched a pillow! I really didn't want to go to school but missing was not an option. I had 3 tests today, and I had studied really hard so I needed to go. I was dreading tutoring with Christopher at his house. At his house! I was nervous, and I never get nervous.I braided my hair to the side and stuck a flower pin on the opposite side. I put on a casual tribal print dress, a brown leather jacket and brown combat boots. Once I was satisfied I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. My dad was manning the griddle and was turning out gluten free, blueberry, flax pancakes like a machine. "Morning, Sweetheart! Kiss the cook!" I rolled my eyes and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. I grabbed my pancakes and touch my seat on the living room couch. "Morning!" Serena and Oliver greeted in unison from their spot on the couch. I mumbled a greeting back, but it was lost in pancake translation.
Oliver was sitting on the couch with Serena sipping his coffee while she leaned on his shoulder and watched the news. Her wild red hair was still a bed head mess,. My older brother Oliver was home visiting from college with his fiancé, Serena. Serena is the sweetest girl ever, and I'm so happy they're here. I get to be a bridesmaid in the spring wedding. I gave Oliver a quick hug as I brought my plate to the sink. "Hey, where's my hug?" Serena called opening her arms. I ran over and hugged her. "Bye!" I called back, and I was out the door.
Adeline usually picked me up and today was no exception. She pulled up in her black Beetle, honking the horn three times with a big smile, nearly giving me a heart attack. "What was that for?" I called. "No reason," she smirked. I hopped into the passenger seat and greeted Adeline with a hug. "Hey, Baby, how you holding up? Tutoring that creep must be just terrible." "Thanks Ade, but I'm sure I can manage. There's no problem I can't solve. Remember?." She was quiet the rest of the way to school. She looked so amazing in her punky ensemble. Her leather jacket, black jeans and AC/DC shirt complimented her dark makeup and 10 piercings.
We parted ways at the front door. She wished me luck as she went to chemistry.
The rest of the day passed quickly. As every minute passed a new wave of dread hit me. I did not want to go anywhere with Christopher. He was a player, and I did not want to associate with him. He was key in winning the election, but he was so popular. My phone's text tone suddenly went off. I grabbed it and looked at it, confused. It was Chris. How did he even get my number.
I opened his text and rolled my eyes.
Hey where r we meeting bc I have to do something first where r u now?- Chris my special sex God
I mentally barfed. He put his number into my phone without me knowing, and he had the nerve to change his name to that. Oh no way!
I assume ur not txting back bc of the name I put into ur phone it's a personal fav of mine ;)- Chris my special sex god
I rolled my eyes. His ego is as big as Jupiter I swear! I couldn't tell him that he guessed correctly so I made up a quick lie.
No! That is not it! I just had to text Adeline first. Where do you want to meet? I really need to know because I just can't stand here!- Lindy
By the fountain in the courtyard c u soon- Chris my special sex god
I rolled my eyes at the name and closed my phone.
