Blog Entry 5:
The rest of the week passed pretty uneventfully, and I just could not get Christopher Crain out of my head. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get our tutoring session out of my head. I planned to meet up with him at the local Starbucks to create a set tutoring schedule. Contrary to popular belief, the meeting was Chris's idea. After school I drove as fast as I could over to the Starbucks. I ordered my caramel macchiato and banana bread and sat down at a table by the window 10 minutes later a large shadow cast itself over the table. I looked up ready to see Chris's smirking face but it wasn't Chris. It was the barista or should I say baristo who made my macchiato. "Is something wrong?" I questioned truly confused. "No, no nothing at all when I'm with you all the world is right." Mark said. I read his name tag. Wait what? This dude was flirting with me. He was ok looking but no Chris Crain. Speaking of him where was he? "I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are. Would you like to go out sometime?" he said, full of confidence. "Wait what are you asking me out because if you are no. I'm actually meeting someone here right now." I said politely. "Are you sure cupcake because I'm pretty irresistible. One date and you'll be begging for more. How about 7 tonight. I know this amazing club and we can dance the night away. I hear the weather will be almost as gorgeous as you." he said. He had his hands on my shoulders now and he was quaking with anger. "I'm sorry but I've already said no. By the way I am not your cupcake." I said a bit more urgently. "Come on Kitty, I'm the best you'll ever get and I'm using my break time right now so just go on a damn date with me!" he screamed. "No!" I said curtly. "Listen b--" he began but was cut short by Chris's swift punch to his jaw. He landed on this woman's table spilling hot coffee down his shirt. Chris grabbed me, and we left the coffee shop in Chris's Camaro. I let the silent tears fall down my cheeks. I just remembered that guy. Mark Paul. I refused to date him sophomore year and I choose Brady Ward over him then he left the school a pitiful ball of rage and embarrassment. I totally forgot about him until now.
I hadn't realized I was full on sobbing until Chris swerved to a stop on the side of the road and pulled to a stop. He unbuckled both of our seat belts and pulled me into a tender hug. I sobbed into his shirt for God knows how long as he stroked my hair and whispered "I'm so sorry, Lindy. If I had only been there sooner that asshole wouldn't have touched you. God, I'm so damn sorry." over and over. I just cried and let it all out.

We pulled into Chris's drive shortly after my breakdown. Chris was still seething with rage as he opened the door for me as I climbed out.I followed him into the house and we both descended into the basement. I took my usual seat in his desk chair and he took the seat across from me still obviously angry. He let out a long sigh and ran his fingers through his dark hair. "Would you care to explain because I wasn't there for the beginning." he huffed out. I began spilling the entire story of Mark Paul and Starbucks.

I didn't expect Chris to take it so hard. I barely stopped him from going back and pummeling Mark even more than he already did. We both settled on writing a strongly worded email to his supervisor. "Ok tutor. Please teach me calculus because I need a distraction or I will punch through this wall." Chris pulled up a chair next to mine and I scooted in resting my hand on his clenched fist, and it loosened immediately.I began to drone about calculus until I noticed he was staring at my face. I blushed and froze until he motioned for me to continue. Gosh! Why does he have to effect me like that! I'm so clique. It's not even funny.

Chris and I tutored like that more and more frequently. We got together almost every night of the week. He was becoming one of my best friends. Even his friends Lucas, Keith and Daniel were hanging around me and I loved every second of it.
It was Wednesday night and Chris and I were "tutoring". He was lifting weights, shirtless (I was mentally and a little bit physically drooling) and I was working on my English assignment in between eating Pringles and joking with Chris. I'm seriously going to get fat. We need to go grocery shopping for healthy things because I'm seriously addicted to his junk food.
He got up and walked over to his desk where I was currently typing away. He silently crept up behind me and tazed me. I screamed nearly throwing my laptop into the wall. "What the actual heck?" I questioned Chris. He was doubled over laughing at my reaction. I couldn't stay mad at him for long because he looked so dang cute. I stuck my tongue out at him because I'm a mature adult.

I had finished all my homework and wanted to see what progress Chris had made on my Calculus practice problem. I walked over to the couch. He was napping on my Calculus book. He was my ride home so I was stuck until he woke up so I decided to go on an adventure.
I wondered around his enormous house casually walking into rooms and admiring the beautiful architecture. The house was flawless. Christopher lived in the colonial side of town so his house was built in the colonial era and I'm guessing his mother just updated the furniture and repainted some walks because most of the rooms still looked untouched. I wondered through a set of enormous double doors. What I saw was truly the most beautiful room of the house. I had stumbled upon a glorious colonial era ballroom. The walls and floors were gold and they sparkled in the afternoon sunshine. the sun streamed in through beautiful glass and gold doors that lead out to a beautiful balcony that was teeming with beautiful wild flowers. I stood in the center of the room. I sat down basking in the warm sunlight.
"Beautiful isn't it?" a familiar voice said. I jumped startled by the sudden noise. "Yeah it really is." I answered. "Sorry I fell asleep on you. I'm a pretty terrible host." he laughed. I smiled at him. He looked so innocent with his hair all messy. "That's ok. I'm super tired too. Plus, I got to see your amazing ballroom." "Yeah, but still I was planning on showing you this later. Come on we'd better get going. We'll get food on the way." "Kay. Just let me grab my stuff." I jogged down the stairs and grabbed my purse and backpack. I followed Chris to his car. He pulled out, and we were on our way.

"Where would you like to go?" he asked, staring at the road. "I have no idea," I said. "There a Chipotle down there," he smiled. "Okay! Burrito time!" I giggled, clapping my hands. He pulled in and I got out."I'll have a steak burrito, please," I said to the person. "Same," Chris said. I smiled at him as I put fillings in my burrito.
I looked at my beautiful creation, as I pulled out my wallet. "Nope, nope, nopity, nope! I've got this!" he sang paying for our food. "Thank you!" I squealed, hugging him, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. "Wow! I should buy you burritos all the time," he giggled. I blushed and grabbed my burrito. Food time with Chris! Super duper extra yay!

After Chipotle and Orange Leaf we finally pulled into my drive. He walked me up to the door. He turned towards me as I fiddled with my keys. "Hey, Lindy?" "Yeah." I answered hesitantly. "Would you like to go to dinner with me this Friday night?" he said looking down. Awwwwwwwwww he was nervous! "Like a date?" I asked slowly. "I guess only if you want it to be." he said genuinely. He was obviously nervous. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! A date with Christopher Crain! "Of course I'd love that." I smiled as I disappeared behind the door. I hesitantly peered out the window by the door. Chris was strutting away with his fist in the air. I hummed Don't You Forget About Me under my breath. I love the Breakfast Club, but not as much as Chris.
