Blog Entry 14:
After the funeral the end of school approached quickly. Chris and I had been spending so much time together. Since he asked me to be his girlfriend we had been inseparable. We blew through the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and I was loving it. Keith, Daniel and Lucas didn't treat me any different. I was still the little sister that they were obligated to protect. Life was perfect.I was planning on taking advanced summer courses to get back on track I just needed to get it finalized. Especially with Chris's support, there's nothing I can't do. I decided to tell him at our 3 month anniversary dinner tonight.
Chris was taking me to Gionnitello's a fancy Italian place.
I dressed in a white and light blue dress that fell to about mid thigh. It had lace around my neck and was striped down the skirt. I love this dress.
I paired it with white pumps and loosely curled my hair.
I grabbed my purse excited to see Chris.
He was standing in the atrium joking with my dad and Oliver. My mom and Serena were probably spying from the kitchen.
My whole family loved Chris. Ever since the first family dinner he came to my whole family can't shut up about how absolutely perfect he is. I agree. He is perfect.
He was wearing a nice light blue button down that somehow matched my dress, khakis and dress shoes. Not that I care about what he's wearing but he just looked particularly hot tonight.
I began walking down the stairs and Chris turned. His face lit up at the sight of me. I ran down the stairs (in heels- not a particularly good idea) and tumbled into Chris's open arms.
I hugged him and gave his a light kiss on the lips because i knew my dad and Ollie were still watching.
"Bye guys!" I yelled to my family. I turned and eagerly followed Chris to his car.

After both of us singing (very off key mind you) to the radio and several games of eye spy we pulled into Gionnitello's. Chris got out and ran over to my side pulling the door open for me. "Why thank you kind sir." I said smirking. He smiled and placed his hand on the small of my back guiding me into the restaurant.
We walked into the fancy restaurant. Chris stopped me in front of the host. He was a stuck up looking French man who had a strange looking mustache and a unibrow. "Do you have a reservation?" he said in a thick French accent. "Yes. Crain for 2."b"Ahhhh! Mr. and Mrs. Crain. Right this way. Please follow me." "Mr. and Mrs. Crain?@" I questioned Chris quietly. "It's polite I guess, but you gotta admit I has a nice ring to it." he said smiling. I smiled at his comment. Mrs. Lindy Crain. Lindy Crain. Mrs. Christopher Crain.
I was snapped back to reality by the waiter pulling the chair out for me. I sat down taking in my surroundings. "Please enjoy the meal." Chris and I both nodded as he left.
"I got us the best table of the restaurant." Chris said. He pointed at the ceiling his eyes trained on my face.
My eyes shot skyward. I saw the most magnificent crystal chandelier. The crystals were shining and the whole scene was perfect like something out of a fairytale book.
The waiter came by and explain the chef special I think but we weren't paying attention.
"Yeah we'll have 2 of that." Chris said not breaking eye contact with me.
The waiter scurried away and I laughed. "Do you even know what you ordered for us?" I questioned still laughing. "Nope." he said smirking at me. "Well if it's snails your eating it all." I laughed out. So I have something to tell you." I said ready to tell about my advanced summer classes. "Me too but ladies first." He smiled. "Ok so I'm going to do advanced summer classes to get back on track. I've been doing so good managing my stress and I'm done with this break. It's been fun but I need to wake up from this daydream. I need to get my priorities back in order. I need to get my old life back which means less fooling around." I smiled but that faded when I saw a hurt look cross Chris's face. "No." he said flatly, stone faced. "What? Why? I've been doing so well. I need this. What we've been doing.... I can't go on like this I won't have a future if I'm slacking off. I need to get back on track with my priorities in order." I said more forcefully. Hurt crossed Chris's face and I felt like I was kicked in the gut. "So this whole relationship isn't getting you a future. Wow. That makes me feel so damn good. Really high freaking priority. You're saying I'm nothing compared to your successful career. I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you. I did this for you because I care. I moved classes to be with you. To make sure you didn't freaking try to kill yourself." We both paused. When did he hear about that. Shit.
"How did you figure it out? Who the hell told you." I hissed visibly angry. "Mr. Calkin told me while you were out. He told me your entire story. Adeline saved you. She found you before you jumped. The scars on your wrist weren't hard to pick up either. I'm just trying to make sure that doesn't happen again. I freaking care. Too much. I guess that's my problem." I stopped breathing. He sounded just like Ade. "Maybe you could believe in me. I can do it. You don't have to protect me!" I practically screamed. I got out of the table knocking over our waiter that was carrying the chef's special. Chris got up to chase after me but was stopped by the mess of chef's special a la waiter.
I ran out of the restaurant. Tears streaming down my face. I didn't know where I was going but I knew I had to get out. Chris knew the truth but not the whole truth. Oh help me God.
