Ally's pov
Smut warning.
Dinah and I decided to go out for dinner. This new case wasn't that hard to solve. Luckily, it was caught on multiple surveillance cameras. We arrived at the restaurant and things were already going awry. The place was packed, our table wasn't ready, and our waiter tripped and dropped our food onto the floor. Dinah was getting annoyed and I was enjoying getting to see this new side of her. I wanted our first time to be special. I thought tonight would be the night. I had Bebe decorate my house with rose petals and red Christmas tree lights. I don't think she will be in the mood, so we are going to have to go to her place instead.
"How about we get out of here? You're hungry and aggravated." I suggested.
"Yeah let's go." We walked down the aisle holding hands. She stopped, causing me to do the same. She shook my hand loose.
"Camila? Is that you?" This Camila girl was short and tan with brown eyes.
"Dinah Jane Hansen? I can't believe this. I thought I lost you. How have you been? What have you been up to? Sit. Let's catch up." She stood up and hugged Dinah a little too long for my liking.
"I would but there's not much to tell. After graduation, I went to the academy, got hired at the police department, and became a detective. What about you?" She said, taking a seat.
"Oh I'm so proud of you. I took a gap year to travel the world, got my degree in journalism, and now I help run my father's businesses." She responded.
We had been standing here for like five minutes and she still hadn't introduced me nor has she mentioned that she is engaged. Without a word, I walked out of the restaurant. Luckily for me, there was a cab outside waiting. I gave him my address, and he took me home. Twenty minutes later, I got a call from Dinah. I answered it.
Ally: Dr. Hernandez
Dinah: Hey, where are you?
Ally: I left.
Dinah: Ally, what did I do wrong?
Ally: I don't know, you tell me. How would you feel if I ran into an ex and forgot to introduce my girlfriend or mention that I am engaged?
Dinah: Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry. That was dumb on my part. Let me make it up to you.
Ally: No shit, Dinah. Look, I'll see you at work tomorrow.
Dinah: Of course but open your front door. I'm outside. I don't believe in going to be angry.
Ally: I'm not angry and we just talked.
Dinah: Then open your door.
Ally: It's late Dinah.
Dinah: Don't make me cause a scene out here and embarrass you.
Ally: You wouldn't dare?
Dinah: Bet.
She hung up the phone. I sprinted to the door. I opened it and was greeted with a grinning Dinah. "Thanks for finally opening up the door for me." She said, brushing past me with red flowers. "These are for you." She handed them to me.
"You gave me no choice. Why these flowers?" I said, inspecting the pretty, red flowers.
"Scarlet red cosmos and it looks like we had the same idea about how this night should end." She said, gesturing to the rose petals. "I think we should follow through. Yeah?"
It's hard to stay mad at her when she is so damn cute. "Are you sure Dinah?" I asked, closing the door.
"Absolutely, positively certain. Is this not what you want because I can wait." She bent down but stopped before our lips touched.
