(Gage.)
*3 am*
David, Kayla, Kenzie and I sat in the kitchen on the bar stools. Everyone was looking for the guys and Alex had gotten sick and fallen asleep early.
I felt bad for him seeing how bad he felt when we got back, now the four of us ended up in here. Late at night.
I had like two beers, but David and Kayla had knocked a ton of drinks back. Kenzie was getting up there too, and they were pouring the stronger stuff.
It reminded me of the past breaks, and me last year. Marigold, Kenzie, that Ashley chick... They were always objects to me.
Dani wasn't like that, she was more. And where was she? My head was clouded with thoughts and it seemed foggy.
"Gage man, you used to be able to handle so much more than this.." David chuckled holding up a glass. "Is that a challenge?" I asked taking the glass away from him.
It was only vodka, and it was
Clear. It didn't look harmful, I hadn't had any in a while. A sudden spark ran through me making me crave fun.
I took a couple of swigs, wincing only a little. I remembered the familiar taste of alcohol burning my throat. It wasn't bad.
"Come with me." I heard Kayla whisper whisking David away. I was left here facing Kenzie. She took a sip of her drink and set it down.
"Do you ever miss this?" She asked me. "What?" I asked bluntly, pouring more into the glass. "Your old life? I mean, look at you...you're having fun? Right?" She asked me raising an eyebrow.
I never thought about it, I was better off being sober. Dani liked me sober, but I missed fun. "Maybe." I said.
"I mean...Dani is sweet but she seems like she wants something serious..like before you know it its a wedding...babies...live a little." She encouraged raising her glass.
"There is one thing I miss." I said losing any sense I had. I wasn't sober at all, it was stupid of me. But then, I didn't regret it.
"Come with me." Kenzie smiled repeating Kayla.

Nimble fingers shook me, causing me to wake up. I blinked a few times not fully seeing Lola standing over me.
"What are you doing?" She asked looking beyond angry. I was in Kenzie's room. Oh no. No. No.
"Oh, I-" I started and she interrupted me, thankfully. I had no excuse. "Dani is asleep, she got home after whatever this hook up was. What is wrong with you!?" Lola asked pulling me to
My feet.
I was so embarrassed, only wearing my boxers. Kenzie came out of the bathroom,in a tee shirt and short shorts.
Her eyes widened, and her hand shot to her head. "Look, please don't say anything to Alex. I already feel bad enough." She groaned plopping on the bed. Kenzie did this kind of stuff all the time, why is now a problem?
"Look, you two need to figure this out but Alex and Dani were wondering about you...seriously Gage?" She asked turning on her heel outside.
"I won't tell Alex, but please don't tell Dani." I begged her, feeling the major headache. "Trust me, I won't." She sighed
I went and walked out of the room, to go try and make things alright with Dani.
(Dani.)
That morning Gage came in and told me he wanted to spend the day together, just us.
I thought it was sweet, and after having to leave the dance it seemed like a good idea.
I changed into a white lace sundress and straightened my hair with normal make up. Gage and I hadn't ever been on a real date.
"Are you ready?" He asked me, looking slightly nervous. He had on kackie shorts and a button down shirt, he looked nice in everything.
"Yeah, okay." I smiled walked outside with him.
A nice breeze blew feeling warm and I could tell it was right from the water. "Where are we going?" I asked him.
"It's a surprise."
...
"I love this place." I said sitting across from Gage, who was way too into his burger. We went to a sports bar type of place for lunch.
A live act played music and they had a March madness basketball game on...it was just my typical atmosphere. My dad and brothers and I never went to fancy restaurants, it was always these types of places.
"You don't strike me as one of those girls.." He said taking a break from stuffing his face, I was too though. The both of us eat a lot.
"Why not?" I asked tilting my head to the side. "You don't look too preppy, or fake. But you don't look trashy...your like quiet type but you're really cool. " he said and then widened his eyes like he admitted something.
"Awh, thank you Gage." I said in a high-pitched voice. He smiled and rolled his eyes "Aren't you sweet?" He teased.
"Lips like sugar." I joked quoting the song and having to cover my mouth so it didn't look gross. He started laughing outrageously loud and a few people glanced over.
"Your lips always taste like bubble gum Chapstick." He told me, once he had gained his breath. "Your's taste like that lotion Chapstick." I smirked. He chuckled "I can't do cherry or bubble gum that's gay." He defended laughing.
I rolled my eyes with a smile at his assumption, "Still doesn't matter." I told him, taking a bite of my food. All day he seemed a little off, I was hoping that he'd loosen up.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked me after the waiter dropped off the check. I nodded, and he wouldn't let me pay.
"I want to go on a walk now. I have to show you something." He smiled taking my hand and leading me out, it shocked me. Adam didn't do anything like taking my hand and "going on a walk", and Gage didn't seem like the type who would.
"Where are you showing me?" I asked as we stepped outside of the place. He pulled me into him, and we were nose to nose.
"You know I like to surprise you." He said kissing me, it made my stomach drop the way he did that. I wasn't used to having someone make me feel intimidated.
We stayed hand in hand as he lead us to a pastel colored ice cream shop. "Awh, we eat way too much." I joked tilting my head to the side. He laughed, "Yeah, but this place is really good." He told me walking inside.
All I knew is that I hadn't been happier.
A/n sorry that the chapters have been eh, and I didn't update for a while. I hope this works :)
