Boarding school

Chapter 7

(Dani.)
"What do I wear!?" Lola asked, frantically searching through her stuff.I shrugged and checked my own outfit.
Skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a red jumper sweater. I straightened my hair and did make up, I hoped it was okay. Just the mall, and just boys.
"How about..." I began, biting my lip and going through the closet. "Black jeans and....this." I smiled at the long sleeved white cropped sweatshirt I found. It had "NY." Printed on it.
"Yeah okay." She smiled changing quickly. Lola has a crush on Logan, she told me. I think it's adorable, they'd make a great couple.
Her hair was in lose curls and she looked a lot better than I did, in my opinion.
I have green eyes, dirty blonde long hair, and I've kind of always been small. Back freshman year I remember there was this one "friend" I had
Once we were joking around and she made a comment that I had the body of a twelve year old, I know she was joking but the whole group of people laughed.
"Dani, they're here. You ready?" Lola asked me snapping me away from my thoughts. I nodded and took my purse throwing it over my shoulder.
I followed her down stairs, and outside where there was a parking garage. That's where we kept our cars.
Well, those who have cars.
Logan and Gage were standing outside by Logan's car. They were dressed similar in jeans, and sweaters with sunglasses. Pretty classy.
"Hey." Logan said as we walked up. "Hey." I said, he pointed to the door for me to get in the car.
I sat in the back, and Gage went for the passenger's side. "Nah man, she sits here." He said pointing to Lola.
"Ha!" She teased. "What!?" Gage protested pretending to be offended. "What, I can't have a dude in the passengers seat and girls in the back..I'd look weird." He shook his head making all of us laugh.
"Okay, whatever Dani is better than you." He said sitting next to me. "Ha!" I said mocking Lola.
"Why?" Logan asked acting like he was hurt. "She's prettier." He said sticking his tongue out. I almost blushed at the comment but laughed because of the joke.
"Fine, I'm breaking up with you. " Logan said starting the car up. We laughed and he pulled out toward wherever this mall was.
"I like this song!" Lola said turning up the radio. It was "blank space" by Taylor Swift. "I love Taylor Swift." Gage said casually.
"Me too!" I said as the song played. "I can make the bad guys good for a weekend."Logan sang along
It made me die of laughter, the looks on everyone else's faces were hilarious to as they started with contagious laughter.
"Okay, we're here. You almost made me wreck the car Dani." Logan said shaking his head, I quickly hopped out of the car along with everyone else.
We walked toward the entrance which had forever 21 first, which happens to be my favorite store. "Lola.." I said nudging her.
"Oh yeah, we're going here." Lola told them. The boys both looked hesitant. "Hibbets is right there." I said pointing across from forever 21.
"Okay, we'll meet you guys in a second." Logan said as Gage followed him into the store.
Instantly, I saw a lot of things I liked. I kind of wanted to change up a little bit, and step outside of my comfort zone. I already had with going to boarding school.
The both of us got a few things, not wanting to keep the boys waiting.
"Hey, Dani..I have a question." Lola said stopping a little bit as we were leaving. "Yeah?" I asked
"Okay so I kind of want to get Logan alone so..." She trailed, I smirked knowing exactly where she was going. "Yup, I'll be alone with Gage." I said teasing her a bit.
She laughed "You're the best." Lola said as we continued outside Where the boys were standing.
"Okay, where next?" Logan asked everyone. "Um, Wherever." I shrugged not knowing what to say to get Logan and Lola alone.
"I have to go to American Eagle." He said, "Me too!" Lola quickly added. "I don't..." I trailed leaning on my heels hoping that Lola got the message.
"Okay, we can go and meet you guys later..." Lola said and Logan smiled as they walked off.
"Sorry, Lola wanted to get him alone." I shrugged, the corners of his mouth formed a smile "No way, Logan just told me the same thing!" Gage laughed a bit.
"Well, there we go." I said and we started walking so we weren't standing in the middle of the mall like some weirdos.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked me, as we kind of looked around to see if there was anywhere we wanted.
"I don't know.." I said "Wait, I'm hungry." He said kind of randomly. I smiled "Alright, let's go to the food court." I said looking at the sign that told us where to go.
As we walked, I couldn't help but notice his features. His eyes we're striking, and the hair was perfect on him.
We stood in the food court, his hand was on my arm, making me tense up. "Okay, so this place has the best pizza. They have huge slices you gotta try it!" He said and his eyes lit up.
I smiled "Yeah, okay." I said and started toward the place. We got our food and picked a small table.
"These are so big!" I gushed laughing a little. "No girl I've ever been here with has finished the whole thing." He said with a bit of a teasing smile.
My stomach twisted a little bit, obviously he's had other girls, I Mean look at him. "How many girls did you take here?" I teased him.
"Okay, so two. One being my mom." He said sheepishly and I laughed "Okay, that's fun." I said taking a bite of the pizza.
He was right, it was some of the best pizza.
"So, no girl you've been here with has finished it?" I asked him, he shook his head "Nope, and they were all bigger than you." He shrugged making me laugh.
"Alright, this should be an accomplishment." I joked, taking a sip of my drink.
He smiled, "So, Lola is into Logan?" He asked me and I nodded.
"She seems like the type to fall fast." I said wiping my hands on the napkin. "Yeah, Logan is. He has a hard time after break ups too." Gage said with a bit of an eye roll.
I smiled weakly, thinking about my last relationship. And I tried to push it out of my mind. I didn't want to think about it at all.
"It's not that easy...you know..." I shrugged to him, for some reason I wanted Gage to realize what I meant.
"Yeah..I know." He said looking away. Was he still hung up on some girl? That actually made me jealous.
"Well I do hope they get together." I said trying to change the subject. "Me too." He smiled.
We finished our food and got up, "Where do you want to go now?" I asked him.
"Okay, so I know we just ate but I really want a milkshake." He smiled sheepishly and I laughed, "You eat a lot too?" I asked him and he nodded "You've got no idea, but technically it's drinking so let's go." He said motioning for me to follow.
I laughed and followed him to where there was a Dairy Queen. We both got milk shakes.
"What's your favorite kind?" He asked me when we sat back down. "Cookie dough." I said taking another sip and becoming addicted to this.
"I like cookies and cream." He said drinking his. "Come onnnn." I groaned but still had this smile on my face because being around him, just kind of makes me happier.
"Pshhhh, you're so typical." He rolled his eyes sarcastically.
"There you guys are!" I heard Lola yell walking up with Logan and a huge grin on her face.
"You guys ready?" Logan asked.
I looked at him one last time and made eye contact. My stomach flipped.
What am I getting myself into?
