~No one's P.O.V.~

Jessie followed Master Makarov out of the library. When she walked back up, she sweatdropped at the fact that nothing had changed. Chairs were still fighting and drinking, and a couple of fights had broken out. However, when the guild noticed Jessie, they all stopped what they were doing. "Um.." Jessie sweatdropped, looking at all the members.

"Members of Fairy Tail," the Master said in a loud voice. "I have an announcement for you." The guild murmured things like, "what this time" or "does it have something to do with the shorty?" The comments were stopped when the old man put his hand in the air. "The announcement is that we have a new member of Fairy Tail." Jessie glanced behind her to see Erza, Gray, Natsu, and Lexi listening to the conversation as well. "This new member is.." He suddenly slung an arm around Jessie and pulled her closer to him. "This girl, Jessie!" Jessie eyes widened and she was speechless. It looked like the guild was too, but after a couple seconds, it errupted in cheers.

"Welcome to Fairy Tail Jessie!" "I wonder if she's a mage..." "If she is, Gramps must've let her in cause she's pretty strong!" "Heh, that young and strong? She's lucky."

"M-Mr. Makarov, if I may, I never agreed to that!" Jessie said, trying to sound professional.

"You can call me Gramps," he smiled casually.

"Okay, fine, 'Gramps', I never said I wanted to—" Master Makarov stopped her by putting a hand in front of her face.

"Walk with me Jessie," he said in a serious tone. The sudden change in his tone forced Jessie to agree. She tried to hide her face as almost the entire guild stared at them until the door behind them closed. They walked all the way in silence. Jessie looked down at the sidewalk, not wanting to look at the old man. She never wanted to join a guild. She brought pain to whoever she met and whoever she got too close to. Because she wasn't looking where she was, Jessie accidentally bumped into the Master.

"S-sumimasen," she apologized quickly. The short master didn't seem to notice, because instead he walked down the hill and towards a river. Jessie's eyes widened when she realized that it was the river she had been looking at as she ran away from them.

From Fairy Tail.

"Come, sit down with me," Master Makarov said gently, patting on the grass next to him. He was sitting right at the edge of the river. Jessie hesitantly sat down on the spot, looking at the sparkling river with him. It was the afternoon, but the river still glittered with colors of red, orange, and yellow. "So tell me a bit about yourself," Master asked, glancing at Jessie. She realized he had looked at her, but kept her gaze down on the river in front of her.

"You will have to be specific," Jessie responded softly. The old man slightly frowned at her words, but answered.

"Okay, how about how old you are?" he asked softly.

"Five," she answered nonchalantly. Master Makarov's onyx eyes flew open. He had a coughing fit in order to suppress the great surprise he had just felt. Jessie cocked her eyebrows.

"Is that so young?" she asked honestly. Seeing as she had been kidnapped at the age of 3 and raised by a dragon in solitude until now, it was no wonder she barely had a sense of what 'normal humans' were and how they acted.
