                                (Timeskip-4 months later)

"Moh!  Stop running!" whined Jessie, who was now 3 and a half years old.

"Not in your life kid!" panted Hornet.

"But you said that I could do anything to you if I casted the spell properly, and I did!"

"Sorry, but I'm not letting you dress me up!" Last time he had owed her, she dressed him up in a fluffy pink dress and laughed at him until she fell asleep.

"I'm not going to do it this time, I promise!"

"Don't believe ya!"  Jessie puffed out her cheeks.

"Alright fine.." her tiny black sneakers started to glow.

"Hey, that's cheating!" whined Hornet as she tackled him with lightning speed.

"Your fault for running away!" giggled Jessie.  She and Hornet had become great friends during her time at the Skull Knights Guild.  From wind to fire, Hornet had taught Jessie all sorts of magic, and she loved using it.  Hornet grew to think of Jessie like his own child, but at the back of his mind he knew that he was just using her, and deep down he really felt bad to use such a kind and sweet child for his own uses.

"Fine you caught me," he said after snapping back to reality.  "Now what is it you want to do to me."

"Stand up," she commanded with a sly smile on her face.  Hornet sighed and stood up.

"Now what?"  He closed his eyes and anticipated for something painful to come, but instead he felt something warm wrap around his legs.  He opened his eyes to see Jessie hugging him.

"I love you Hornet-san," she said with a broad smile on her tiny lips.  No words would come out of his mouth, so he just hugged her back.  Now he felt really bad, especially since she was going to have to use her power to kill many innocent people tomorrow..  I'm sorry Jessie, I'm so sorry that I have to use you for a power that you didn't have a choice to wield..

He wanted to say those words, but instead he said, "Time to go to bed Jessie."

"Just a little longer?" she pouted.

"Afraid not," Jessie and Hornet turned around to see Lady Hikari leaning on one of the walls of their guild.  "You're going to need your magic power for tomorrow," she said sternly.

"For the trip we're going to?" she asked innocently.

"Yes, now go!"  Jessie quickly glanced at Hornet, who couldn't bear to look at her anymore.

"Yes milady.." she muttered and trudged towards her room.  Lady Hikari then angrily walked towards Hornet.

"What the hell do you think you were doing?!" she yelled at him.

"I-I was j-just.." he stuttered.  He had no idea how to explain without her harming him.

"Look here Hornet!  You are loyal to me and me only!" she growled, her face only a mere inch from his.  Her pink eyes were glowing with anger.  "If you do anything that suggests even a hint of disloyalty, you're dead!"

"Yes milady," Hornet muttered.  Satisfied, she backed away from him and disappeared with a cloud of black feathers.  'If I were to choose between my life and Jessie's...'  Hornet shook his had, angry that he was actually thinking about a child's life instead of his, but....he couldn't but feel wrong for choosing..  'Atleast Jessie wasn't listening to our conversation...' he mentally sighed, but he was actually wrong.  Instead of going to her room, Jessie had hidden behind the wall, listening to all of it.  She had known that they were planning to trick her into killing a whole town with her magic power.  For the past four months, she had been planning on how to escape, and she finally had a plan to escape tomorrow, but now a problem has arisen.  If she escapes tomorrow, then Hornet will be killed.  She still questions as to why she wants to save his life, but she knew that running away would mean his death was her fault, and she didn't want that, but it was either him or a whole town of innocent people.

'Ugh why do I have to choose??' she groaned in her mind.  Suddenly she heard Hornet's footsteps, and they were starting to get close to her.  She ran to her room as fast as she could, praying that Hornet didn't see her.  She turned herself invisible and sneaked past the Skull Knights mages to her room.  There she fell onto her bed and buried her face in her pillow.  She stayed awake for a couple hours, thinking of a way to save both sides.  Then, three hours later, she finally thought of a good enough plan, but she was going to hate herself afterwards..
