~No one's P.O.V.~
'Where is it, where is it??'
A six year old boy with messy black hair and dark brown eyes was anxiously looking for something for his little sister. He was wearing a plain short-sleeved black shirt with dark blue jeans as he tore up his house searching for a certain item. "Father, have you seen Jessie's present?" he whispered loudly. His sister was still asleep, so he had to be as quiet as he could be. Unfortunately, he wasn't a quiet person, but he was going to try.
"Nope, I haven't, sorry Mark," whispered back his dad. He peaked his head out of the room adjacent to the one his son was looking in. He had dark brown hair that was a shade away from being like Mark's and his eyes sparkled emerald green. Mark cursed, using words he picked up from his father and his colleagues.
"What did you say young man?" The 6-year-old almost jumped out of his skin from surprise when his dad suddenly appeared behind him, a cocked eyebrow of suspicion on his face.
"N-nothing!" Mark rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously. Unfortunately, he had forgotten all about being quiet and had accidentally used his normal voice, which, in a completely silent house, was ear-shatteringly loud. Panicking, his father clamped his large hand onto his son's mouth.
"M-Mark! What happened to being q--"
"Onii-san?" Both boys looked down to see their little sister/daughter in her white pajama dress, rubbing her little blue eyes using her small and slightly chubby hands. Her long black hair was messy from just being awoken.
"--being quiet.." their father sighed the end of his sentence. Mark gave his father a sheepish smile as he rubbed his eyes in exhaustion. He really was the worst person for situations like this.
"Onii-san, what're you looking for?" the girl asked sleepily. It was quite obvious that she was still a bit drowsy, and Mark couldn't suppress his smile when his little sister cutely let out a yawn. Their father also used this time to continue searching for the item that he and his son had trouble finding.
"Nothing little sis, you can go back to sleep," Mark replied, using his hands to gesture to her bedroom. She groggily glanced to the blank white door that lead to her bed and shook her head, making her hair go all over the place.
"It's already 10:00 in the morning onii-san, you didn't wake me up," she lazily puffed her cheeks out. Mark couldn't help but giggle at the look of annoy and drowsiness on his little sister's face.
"Okay, that was my fault," he chuckled and ruffled her little sister's hair, making it even more messy. "I apologize Jessie." The girl gave a thoughtful look before smirking up at her older brother.
"I'll forgive you," her smirk grew wider, "because as a punishment I'll do...THIS!" She tackled her brother down to the floor, and he squealed in laughter when she started tickling him.
"S-stop! Mercy!" Tears started form in the corner of his eyes as he continued to laugh.
"Next time, don't wake me up late!" Jessie smiled smugly and got off of her brother.
"Hai, hai." Mark wiped the tears of laughter from his chocolate-brown eyes.
"Good! Because I'm hungry now," she said as Mark heard her tiny little tummy grumble. He laughed and picked her up. Even though he was only six years old, he could still carry his little sister anywhere he wished.
"Come on then, let's go tell Father to cook you something," replied Mark as he started towards the kitchen, where their father was looking for that.
"Hai!" Jessie giggled. That was how that day started, just like any other day in their lives, but soon, their lives will change forever, but they just didn't know that yet.
