Kathleen, Nico, and Asher were waiting in the conference room as Elizabeth walked in.

"Who was the other guy with Y/N?" Asher asked, watching a footage of him in the infirmary.

"Sokolov Jr." Elizabeth replied with a scoff, "He's nothing but a liability."

"Well, what're we waiting for?" Nico looked from one to another, "We have Dmitri. Let's finish what she started."

"Not so fast," Elizabeth stretched a hand to the side to stop them.

"What are you doing?" she frowned at him.

"That was the deal," Kathleen reminded her, "We find Dmitri, and we finish her. For what she had done to us."

"I didn't exactly agree to that part," Elizabeth tapped a few buttons on the device in her hand and a couple of men, armed and built, walked in and surrounded all exits.

"You bitch," Nico grumbled.

"Thank you," she gave them a sweet smile, "By the way, if either of you decides to use your freaky powers on me, that little guy over there," Elizabeth pointed at the thin, silver bracelet on their wrists, "Will slit open your radial artery. You'll bleed to death within ten minutes."

"So, how about you guys stay put until I deal with the big fish that's probably waiting for me?"

"How can you betray us like this? We trusted you!"

"I said I could 'use you'. Not have you by my side," she glanced at them over her shoulder, "There's a difference."

Noises faded in and out of Y/N's ears as her head lolled about. The room seemed to spin around her in a hazy manner.

Her hands were tied to the arms of a chair as she was seated on it. Blood trickled down her temple and dripped down to her jawline. Her hair was out of her ponytail and rested on her shoulders. A blackish-purple circle was forming around her left eye. The metallic taste of blood filled her sense as she sniffled sharply.

A hard punch was delivered to her left cheek, making her head snap to the side. She hissed slightly in pain and screwed her eyes shut, and then opened them brusquely.

The man who had given the blow moved aside to reveal the granddaughter of Alexander Pierce.

"There you are," Elizabeth bent lower to her level to catch her eye with a crooked grin, "How're you?"

"I'd say peachy," Y/N looked up at her through droopy eyes.

"You know, I thought you'd put up a fight before we caught hold of you. But I guess, you've lost your efficiency. Grown old. Or," she paused, "Become weak."

Y/N clenched her jaw at the last pair of words, remembering how her mother used to utter the same.

"Bringing old memories?" the blonde smirked.
