28/05/4013 AD – 18:45 – Earth – Open Skies – Between Alton and Ailutarya
Hyperzio's Mylialta was rocketing towards Anmarina's home city. She sat on the wing, comprehending everything that had happened in the last few days.
"I'm sure your folks will be fine, Anmarina", Hyperzio spoke calmly, sensing his best-friend's concern.
"I know they are", Anmarina replied. "I'm more so thinking about the past week if I'm perfectly honest". She shook it off. "More importantly, what was that thing you said to Crystrx? 'You'd fire her'?"
"Look", Hyperzio was embarrassed. "I was in a desperate state, and I needed something that would stun Crystrx". Hyperzio sighed, "No... no... that wasn't it. Honestly, it was just the first thing that came to mind".
"Could you even afford to fire her? She is extremely powerful", Anmarina asked. She looked up to the clear blue skies. 'It's strange. We're in the middle of a fight. We're even on our way to fight an Angel whilst leaving everyone else behind to deal with whatever reinforcements they will inevitably get. I guess this is what they call the 'calm before the storm'... again'.
"We're approaching Ailutarya", Hyperzio stated. "We'll deal with Ru-Flare and then find your family".
"Family, huh?" Anmarina looked at the cockpit of the Mylialta. She couldn't see Hyperzio, but she knew that he wasn't okay. "Aren't you concerned about your family?" Anmarina asked. "They are in Alton after all".
"I know", Hyperzio spoke quietly. "That is why I left everyone else there. Killing Ru-Flare is not the goal, it'd be borderline impossible to do that; the goal is driving her away. I doubt we could kill her with just the two of us; she's an unknown. Other than having fire powers, we don't know what kind of equipment she uses".
"Maybe she'll be cocky?" Anmarina suggested. "That would mean she would be under-equipped like Elimiphlaren".
"Oh crap", Hyperzio thought out loud.
"What is it?" asked Anmarina.
"I only took the two of us because I assumed this was a one-on-one style fight; maybe even a distraction to get me away from the city so Elimiphlaren could easily attack Alton", Hyperzio explained. "But what if Elimiphlaren AND Ru-Flare are waiting for us?!" Hyperzio looked down at the floor of his Mylialta, "Anmarina, I want you to get off here and return to Alton".
"What?!" said the confused Guardian.
"If this is the true target of the trap and not Alton, you'll be getting killed along with me!" Hyperzio panicked. "So please, get away from here!"
"I'm not leaving!" Anmarina insisted.
"Guardian Anmarina, I hereby order you to-" Hyperzio shouted.
"Oh, piss off with that!" she snapped back. "I'm not letting you commit suicide! If they are both there, we can always run away, so shut up!" The Mylialta burst through a group of clouds; they had reached Ailutarya City. Hyperzio and Anmarina looked on in shock.
"What is this...?" whispered Anmarina.
28/05/4013 AD – 18:45 – Earth – Alton Skies – Tri-Carazstar – Bridge
The Tri-Carazstar fired its Turi Cannon once again at an enemy Shutenghen. The beam ripped through the core of the ship and caused it to start imploding from within. Shards of metal broke off the ship and the fiery debris started striking the ground. Grav Bombers and Mylialta hit as many of the falling pieces as they could with flurries of explosives in order to destroy them, or at least reduce the size of the fragments, in order to try and prevent further damage to the city.
