Chapter 7: Return

25/05/4013 AD – 08:53 – Alton Mountain Range – East Mountain – Satellite Crash Site

Henry woke up to a cloudy sky, "Ugh, what time is it?" Suddenly the time and date flashed in front of his eyes; it appeared in the top right of his vision. Startled, he started to get up only to hear the sound of metal scraping against the rocks.

"Hey", came a familiar female voice from behind him. Henry turned around to see two grey Wyperians; they were bland and carrying no weapons, insignias, or armour detail. Just a metal body with a visor.

"Erm... hello?" Henry replied in confusion. "Who are you?"

"I'm Anna, this is Oliver", the female Wyperian responded, gritting her now metal-fibre teeth, the thin plates in her mouth scraping together and causing a screeching sound. Anna was pointing to the second Wyperian before turning her claw-like finger at Henry, "You're Henry, right?"

Henry nodded silently.

"Then that means that one is Daniel", Oliver pointed across the ground to an unconscious robotic body. Henry looked back at the other two. He honestly didn't expect that to have worked, or that it would have left them with no additional equipment if it did work.

"So, I guess we're Wyperians now?" Anna said.

"You seem to be taking this very well..." Henry mentioned.

"OH?! OH, IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK?" screamed Anna, slamming her fist into the pitiful rocky walls, cracking the rock and sending fragments everywhere. "I have been awake for THREE HOURS! I had a panic attack when I woke up and saw myself encased in metal! What the hell happened?!"

Oliver responded, "Judging by what you just said, and how you acted with that piece of metal... I'm guessing you know what is going on here". He was staring intensely at Henry.

"I guess I'll have to explain everything", Henry said nervously as he looked at the massive dent in the mountain that Anna had just left. "Let's just wait until Daniel wakes up".

"Fine!" Anna sat down angrily on a nearby rock.

Oliver went to inspect the satellite, "This machine, it's Wyperian, isn't it?"

"Correct, as was the metal inside it", Henry's voice was resuming the tone that Hyperzio carried with him amongst his peers over 25 years ago; more meaningful and less monotone.

Not much was said in the following hour, but the silence was suddenly broken when Daniel awoke.

"What the hell?!" he shouted. "Where the hell am I?!"

"Dan-",Oliver started to speak.

"Damn Wyperians!" Daniel interrupted as he scanned the surroundings and eyed his backpack. He dashed over to it, ripping it open and pulling out his handgun. He aimed it at Anna; a reticle was painted over her face on his visor, "You! Where are my friends?! What have you done with them?!"

"Daniel, it's us!" Anna pleaded.

"It's like that is it?! Well then if you won't talk, THEN DIE!" Daniel screeched as his fired a bullet at Anna. Henry jumped in the way and surrounded himself with a spherical energy shield. The bullet fizzled out upon contact which only caused Daniel's anger to flare further. He emptied the magazine into Henry's shield, each bullet having the same result as the first. Daniel reached into his bag for another magazine.

"Shadow Ability", Henry quietly said. "Hyper Speed". With those words, Henry seemingly disappeared, rushing forward at blinding speed and snatched the gun away from his teammate as the rest stood in awe. "Daniel, stop acting like a child and listen for once in your life!!" Henry commanded.
