Dracolast dodged a blast of energy fired from a Sudagrowler's main cannon. The Wyperians on the tank's frontal turrets started to light up their opponent with a rapid flurry of bullets. Dracolast activated his shield to block the attack and then dodged once again when the next laser blast was launched. Dracolast fired all of his missiles into the side of the tank and destroyed the heavy armour on the left. The blast left a significant hole in the Sudagrowler. Dracolast raised his back-mounted cannon and fired a single blast into the opening, blowing up the tank entirely. He gave an exhausted sigh before checking his visor for any more Sudagrowlers. He grinned to himself; he was the best at dispatching those tanks and everyone knew it.
"Daniel?!" came a female shout; it sounded like a question but with the confidence of a statement. Dracolast turned around to witness a pink-haired woman standing before him. Her clothes had been slightly damaged, and she was panting vigorously. Her hands were made of a dark-grey coloured metal.
"Hmm... mechanised hands without even a layer of synthetic skin to cover them and a reckless personality just wandering about in the middle of a warzone?" Dracolast laughed. "How are you doing, Naomi Wetherfield?"
"M-mechanised?! MECHANISED?!" Naomi screamed. "HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT IN THIS SITUATION?!"
"Err-" Dracolast became nervous.
"I SAW YOU ON THE DAMN T.V., WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU AND HENRY DOING IN METAL BODIES?!" Naomi continued her rage. "AND THE WHITE ONE AND THE BLUE ONE; THAT WAS OLIVER AND ANNA, WASN'T IT?!"
"Well-" Dracolast sighed.
"I DO NOT WANT YOUR DAMN EXCUSES, YOU-" Naomi badgered. Dracolast glared as he raised his left arm in the air and fired several bullets from his arm cannon. Naomi ducked and covered her ears in fright. She was silent after that.
'Not the best strategy, but it does work, doesn't it Hyperzio?' Dracolast thought rhetorically before turning back to Naomi.
"So, do you want me to explain or not?" Dracolast called out.
"We thought you were dead, you know?" Naomi started to cry.
"It's only been five days", Dracolast stated.
"Shut up!" Naomi shouted. "There was a big flash of light in the mountains. We learn that Henry's team was sent there and then they were never heard from again. What's more is that several Wyperians had been spotted emerging from that area. They stole a ship and fled the planet".
"Yeahhhh, that was us..." Dracolast confessed.
Dracolast told Naomi the entire story. From the exploration mission to the attack on Iceikco and even Hyperzio's past. Naomi was in shock but, in turn, explained that she had rushed over to look for the team after seeing them broadcasting earlier.
"Whatever..." Naomi pulled herself together after a while. "Where is Henry, anyway?"
"A: It's Hyperzio now and B: He and Anmarina went to fight Ru-Flare", Dracolast stated.
"RU-FLARE?!" Naomi screamed before she quickly quietened down; Dracolast had raised his left arm again.
"That psychopath from T.V.?" Naomi asked.
"Correct", Dracolast confirmed. "Hyperzio believes that he-" Bolts of dark energy started flying overhead. Dracolast grabbed Naomi and ran into the closest building with her. The laser fire stopped. Dracolast could see a series of burn marks that blazed a trail to where they were now hiding. Dracolast peeked out of cover. One of the gigantic black A.E.R. ships hovered over them. Its front turrets had been lowered and were scanning for targets. The front of the right engine opened up and a misty ball formed inside. The ball launched and hit the building. A sonic pulse screeched as it destroyed part of the cover that Dracolast and Naomi were hiding behind; the pair were propelled backwards.
