Olicleaver jumped down gracefully upon an unsuspecting A.E.R. soldier and slashed him in half with his arm blade. He pulled a pistol from his assault belt and emptied a magazine at an adjacent enemy soldier, but he simply blocked the bullets with his shield. The second A.E.R. soldier's visor turned red as he leapt at Olicleaver with his holo sword, drawn from his own assault belt. Olicleaver blocked the attack with his arm blade; he also reloaded his pistol.
"You scum!" shouted the soldier. "You come out of nowhere then think you can just defeat our organisation so easily?!"
"What's the matter?" Olicleaver mocked as he shunted the soldier backwards. "Afraid of a little sneak attack?"
"No, not that", the soldier replied in a calmer yet still angered voice. "You and your three stupid friends suddenly just entered our war and started interfering with our operations!"
"'Operations'?" Olicleaver clarified. "You mean killing innocent people?!"
"These people murdered the great Hyperzio!" the soldier launched another attack on Olicleaver. "He was my hero; I'll kill you all for his sake!"
"I almost feel bad for you", Olicleaver said quietly. He parried the soldier's sword, knocking it out of the way with his own blade before swinging his pistol around and blasting the soldier, point-blank, through the visor. The glass shattered, then the visor core and finally the processing unit; the Wyperian equivalent of a Human's brain. The solider didn't have time to throw up his shield and fell to the ground; dead and never knowing the true fate of his 'hero'.
Dracolast landed shortly after and met with Olicleaver who appeared to be grieving the soldier he had just killed.
"What the hell was that?!" asked Dracolast.
"What?" Olicleaver replied in a monotone voice.
"You attacked from behind and struggled to kill two? I just killed like three squads and a gunship, all whilst protecting the damsel in distress", Dracolast boasted as Naomi stumbled out from behind a nearby building and glared at the two Lieutenants.
'How am I expected to keep up with flying robots?' she thought sarcastically. Olicleaver glanced over at the woman briefly before looking back at Dracolast.
"Seriously, a group of grunts should be no problem at all!" Dracolast complained.
"A 'group of grunts', huh? I suppose that's all they are to you". Olicleaver gritted his fibre teeth. "You sound just like the Rebellion. I specialised in intelligence and piloting; so sorry I can't kill people as efficiently as you".
"What do you mean?" asked Dracolast. "We need to eliminate the weaker ones to get to the leaders, maybe even pick up a couple of Angel-Ranks along the way".
"I take it back", Olicleaver spoke slyly. "You sound more like the Wyperians that invaded the Sol system".
"And why is that?!" Dracolast snapped before quickly calming down, deciding to overlook the comments and sighing. "Do you know where we are?" Olicleaver looked around as Naomi joined them. There were numerous damaged buildings as well as a large, open space that was surrounded by a massive metal fence. In front of the fence were plaques that were decorated with flowers; flowers that had been burnt and torn from all the recent fighting. Olicleaver began to walk towards the plaque.
"Wait, this is... it's... my old school..." Naomi whimpered. Olicleaver halted and looked back at the girl once again.
"This was where I went to secondary school", she continued. "Henry, Daniel, and Anna also went here... but they never got to finish".
