24/05/3988 AD – 18:00 – Sol System – Earth's Orbit – Wyperian Command Ship; Lyshaspeare

Ultraya is the name of a solar system that is very distant to the Human's solar system, Sol; it is the home of the Wyperians. It would take over a millennia to travel between the two systems with the technology that Humanity possessed as they approached the forty-first century. However, this was not the case for Wyperians for they had a number of ways to travel throughout the galaxies from small fighter-class ships to colossal, flying fortresses known as 'base ships'. Base ships carried entire armouries: hundreds of squads and dozens of vehicles for ground, aerial, and spacial use. Base ships also housed a portal device that allowed them to explore the far regions of space at instantaneous speeds. Wyperians barely fought before coming to Sol; the base ships were designed for exploration, with the armouries only there in the event of an outer-system invasion or organisations that disliked the idea of peaceful travel between galaxies. However, now numerous repurposed ships had been deployed all over both the Sol and Ultraya systems to try and suppress the recent rogues that are willing to slaughter the defenceless. At the heart of a fleet outside of Earth's orbit, there was a command ship: a larger base ship that, as the classification implies, issues orders to all of the other base ships. For the Wyperians, this ship was known as 'Lyshaspeare' and had also recently been repurposed, this time to deal with the misuse of other base ships that were being exploited by the murderers. This ship was primarily dark grey in colour, with yellow lights emitting from various hangars, windows, and cannons that covered the surface. The ship was H-shaped with large engines sat at the rear ends of the H. It had numerous large buildings located at the centre; this area housed the bridge and quarters of the Wyperians crew. Along the sides of the H were the before-mentioned hangars and heavy artillery cannons.

Currently, on the ship's bridge were the four Angel-Ayratulia: the most powerful out of all of the Angel-Ranks. There was a primary difference between these Angel-Ayratulia and the rogues: they weren't savage killers. They were respected and loved by the people, so much so that the governments of Ultraya had given them full authority of the armed forces whilst they were in Sol. The four Ayratulia had assembled, alone, in order to figure out a way to contain the threat in both star systems. The fiery Angel, who had just wiped-out Leran's squad on Earth, hovered amidst the devastation it had created as the four Ayratulia watched in horror from one of the many view screens in the room. There were several other blue, holographic monitors that were scattered around everywhere, showing various planets, cities and ships that were under attack at the same time. Sol was in utter chaos.

"Damn it!" one of Ayratulia slammed his metal fist onto the computer. All four of them had the same three spikes atop their helmets as the Angel of Fire. The enraged Wyperian had the common silver coloured armour, but with a large red 'X' surrounded by light-green curves on his chest. His visor was glowing red. Wyperian visors changed to a colour that reflected their emotion, and red was used to show anger. His attire was fairly bland in terms of weaponry.

"Hyperzio, calm down!" another Wyperian looked down at the angered one from a raised chair, clearly the highest-ranking of the four. His armour shined a brilliant white but was also lacking in terms of weaponry; Ayratulia weren't exactly prepared for military combat.

"No, I won't, 'General' Novaran!" Hyperzio replied. "We can't keep wasting resources like this; the Humans clearly don't stand a chance, and we can't just keep sending our troops in to defend them. This stupid law has torn apart our entire society!" The other three looked to the screen as they all knew exactly what Hyperzio was talking about; the change that had started to plague the system of Ultraya.

Angel-Ranks were previously received by a mysterious, invisible entity of unknown origin for performing courageous and honourable acts of pure-hearted kindness. No one knew why, it was just an accepted fact that genuine acts of kindness were rewarded. But not anymore. Now one became an Angel through killing and destruction. Get more kills, get more 'points'. Sure, bigger kills earned you larger amounts of points, but why bother when slaughtering hundreds of civilians was much faster? The four Angel-Ayratulia obtained their rank before the event that was commonly referred to as 'The Ruling Change'. Each Angel had a base set of equipment: the ability to fly upon feathered wings that would sprout from the holes in their backs upon command, the ability to summon an energy cannon to temporarily replace their arm, and a very significant boost to their general capabilities. These traits alone made the effort well worth the time, but the perks didn't end there: Angels would then receive further powers depending on the manner in which they were promoted. A dedicated police officer may have the ability to summon long range grappling arms that can catch criminals easily, a military defender of the people may obtain the ability to project shields over a wide range, or a veteran fire-fighter may become a water-based Angel and have the ability to generate an infinite amount of the aquatic element, to give a few examples. Angel-Ranks could then further develop into the promotions of Angel-Quadria, Angel-Deltricia and finally, Angel-Ayratulia.
